With very small differences, the first special held yesterday left Dani Sordo and Carlos del Barrio as best representatives of the South Korean firm, with Breen fifth and Andreas Mikkelsen even out of the Top10. Think you are mixing it up a bit. The final you are referring to was the Masters show after the rally where Hyundai motorsport didn't start in the R5 category but instead ran their own 4vs4 between their drivers in WRCs... with Adamo commenting. From my Italian he sounded quite happy (for him):

They used 2 cars so drivers were constantly swapping, also note that the cars were the "old" spec with old air intake and rear diffuser.

My Italian is not that good but it seems that the flat gate was decided I. Favor of rox. They gave the same time as in the first passage and he got third place that is enough for Citroen to be manufacters champ in 2019.
