Why did Marczyk choose the 12th starting position? Is it better to drive so far down the order?
That's good question. Probably he doesn't feel confident to drive first, i.e. wants to follow the lines of others but why so far back? Canarias is a rally where cutting is rare and dirt is mostly not an issue so starting farther back may not be that bad. However the first one never catches someone (exept for Bouffier who once caught the zero car :D ) which is an advantage for sure. I don't know if on Canarias there is the sort of rubber effect known from circuits where the grip gets better with amount of rubber on the asphalt (until it starts raining).
