It's most likely about the budget they can gather and now with Covid it will be very difficult even with MČR I guess.
Some news. Setkání mistrů ("meeting of champions") in Sosnová will take place on 18-19th December but without spectators and without TV stream however there will be youtube stream (link will be in time on ewrc).
Now calendars for next year.

Next season the Peugeot 208 Cup Czech will run with the 208 Rally 4 too ;) and what I've discovered was that Global Motorsport(the team which organizes the cup)also distributes the PSA Motorsport cars & parts(Citroën C3 Rally2, Peugeot 208 Rally4 and soon the Opel Corsa Rally4)in Poland
Big news. Since 2022 all cars without valid FIA homologation will not take points in MČR (they can start). That is the case of old cars as well - such as Pech's Focus WRC or Dohnal's Clio S1600.
WRC cars were banned from 2006, but do you remember when they were allowed to score points again? 2015?
If I remember right it was 2015, yes, but that was valid only for cars which had Czech registration before the end of 2014. Other cars were banned all the time and that is the biggest problem with our rules because nobody could buy anythingfrom abroad hence those cars already in use (that one Focus WRC mainly) were protected from competition.
After a big media fight there is a change in rules for the 2022 season and it looks like these new ones may actually stay...
So how will it be in 2022 in MČR?
- two divisions - one for FIA cars, one for non-FIA cars
- official champion titles to be awarded in the division for FIA cars
- the event start order will be mixed between both divisions
- the absolute event results will be mixed
I forgot to write that the rule allowing only WRC cars which had Czech registration by the end of 2014 was canceled. Now in the second division it is possible to use any WRC car homologated till 2016.
