To be precise Walter Rohrl did not win Sanremo 1981. He was leading the rally since SS1 to SS8 and finally he retired with broken gearbox after SS41. It was at the begining of Leg 4 (out of 5 Legs) of the rally. On his way he won 5 special stages. I can't add anything on subject of that specific car, sorry.Quote:

The registration of Röhrl's Manx car in 1981 was LM X 911, if that helps.
Spectated in 81 ,and his pace in the 911 was brilliant,with very limited service cover.Unfortunatly he lost out on the last night on stages that Tony Pond knew better as a Manx resident.But still a brilliant performance,got his autograph too before the start at rally headquarters
