Guess it's time for us English to start pounding the UK broadcasters to show the races lives in England and on Virgin Media.
Or does anyone have any news already on what coverage there will be.
And I am not talking about the Five highlights, good as that is.
Proper flag to flag live coverage. I like TVU but it does get a little blurry sometimes.

nascar.com has live coverage of most of the Nationwide series races and it's completely free :D .
Im gonna write a letter explaining to NASN i want the racing coverage confirmed asap. Im not going through the same **** as last February. i could have killed someone.
NASN Limited have informed OFCOM that the no longer need the NASN licence, im assuming this is because ESPN have a licence, but i couldnt find any evidenceQuote:

I just spoke with NASN.Very professional lady assured me that Nascar racing will be shown again 2008. Christmas came early to me. Also they reduced my fee by £5,- a month.

Last year I made do with channel 5 highlights but this year i'd like to follow much more if i can. I am a sky customer, can anyone steer me in the right direction, and provide an idiots giude on what i should do and pay please? Cheers.
if you're a sky customer you'll be able to watch all 36 races of the Sprint Cup (was Nextel Cup) either in full live or as live on Setanta Sports Ireland (ch434), Setanta will also show (it did last year anyway) the Nationwide (was Busch) Series as live- plus the daily NASCAR Now shows- and they don't go to ad breaks every 5 minutes eitherQuote:

I think it comes down to what channels Virgin Media wants/is able to show, yes US Sport is shown on NASN, but Setanta Sports Ireland also doubles up for NASN on Sunday evenings (and other times for US Sport)- NASN usually only shows NFL, NHL etc and sometimes the NASCAR Now shows-Quote:

what you need to find out is if you have "Setanta Sports Ireland" in your list of Setanta channels. The NASCAR races are not shown on "NASN 1" but on Setanta Sports ireland. SS Irelan reverts to "NASN 2" when any North American sport is shown.
Setanta Ireland is not recieved on Virgin media

Have NASN officially confirmed they are covering Nascar in 2008? Ive kept my setanta subscription going during the off season for horse racing and premiership football,if theres no nascar though i will cancel it.

Since many events are shown on Setanta Sports ireland, Virgin should include that as part of their Setanta Sports pack, its only fair if people are asked to pay £15 a month to get Setanta Sports.
I think that Setanta is putting NASCAR on SS ireland is because Setanta does not want to show Italian football on SSireland on Sunday nights. Putting the NACAR on SS Ireland forces irish customers to trade up to the full Setanta Sports package.

Well I have several races recorded on SopCast from last season, as it has its own inbuilt recorder anyway!
On the downside, live races seemed to disappear after the NHIS chase race... :(
