Rally and racing movies in cinemas and on a TV screen

Long winter nights have come and I thought - why not watch some movies? There are so many films about football, basketball, boxing and other sports. But I asked myself - how many movies about rallying are out there? I started searching, spent many days on it, only to come to a conclusion that it is difficult to find at least 10 good movies about rallying! I found 20 or 30 racing movies, some very famous, but when it comes to rally sport the list is very short. Why is that? Don't rally fans like cinema? Are they too difficult to make? Too expensive? Or is there too little interest?

In the meantime I found quite a promising movie from Japan. The protagonists are two brothers. One is a thrill-seeking racer who often falls in trouble. The other one is a former chief mechanic of a racing factory. Sparks fly between the two brothers because of their differing views – one thinks speed is everything, while the other believes that their victory encompasses more than just being fast and furious. The ultimate prize in this movie is the World Rally Championship.

Heeey, the footage from 6:20 onwards was shot in my city - Wroclaw. That's Poland in the seventies! "Novotel" (7:06) was located 1 km from my childhood home :)
