don't really know what to make of this. Good to have more money coming in to the sport, and Lawrence is a lifelong motorsports fan, which can't be a bad thing.

As for Williams, I guess they're going to be looking for a new driver with deep pockets. Marcus Ericsson has no contract for next season AFAIK, and Ferrari may be looking for a seat for one of their junior drivers at Sauber. Maybe that will be the next shuffle?

I don't quite understand why Renault seem ti want to get rid of Sainz after having been very keen last year to acquire him from Toro Rosso, especially as I think he has done a good job this season. I'm not sure Ocon would be doing much better.
If Stroll does leave Williams, it would most likely lead to a Kubica comeback, though with that car, he might not be doing his aspirations a lot of good.

So well, it's not exactly Stroll buying the team. Rather, he's found enough people so that all of them will put in the required money. But well, I'm glad that the Force India mess is finally sorted out.
It's , for the time being , called "Racing Point Force India".
It sounds like they won't actually keep the original entry , and miss out on any money as a result , but will essentially start anew , with Otmarr at the helm as CEO .
Now , if they can get Ocon to Williams , Lance might have a chance .
I don't understand the rule that strips them of their hard earned points because they change their name. I think it is unfair. If they were going to lose money anyway for changing the name, l would have thought they would go all the way with the name change. Racing point force india kind of sounds wack to me.Quote:

I am sure there are internal political reasons for the change, but it sounds daft to me if they are going to be losing points and money to make a pointless change that does not significantly alter the identity of the team. I think removing the sahara part of the name from livery and merchandising would have been enough. Force India having key members of the management team depart after a takeover suggest that all is not quite well. Especially since it appears other investors in the team may also be departing in 2019. But they have performed impressively on track since the takeover.
While you're right that I am a Canadian , I am yet to become a real Lance fan .
He's a pretty negative little guy when things aren't going right , and that certainly comes off looking a little spoiled , with his background , but so far I am trying to overlook it , being he's been driving such a dog of a car .
Of course he'll be getting loads of flack for triggering the roundabout , but it's still turning for now and I have a feeling Ocon , who everybody sees as out , will be right beside him in the end .
I do hope the kid does well , but Lance will always be the rich kid who did well even if he manages to win it all .
