Will be a real pity if there's no new Skoda, at least for Loix. Fingers crossed.
Loix will have it. Don't worry.
This time it seems Skoda is well prepared for customer-programme. In March there were 15 bodyshells ready. I know bodyshell is not complete car, but anyway the speed of production would be fast. I think somebody said Skoda plans to produce 60 cars during next 12 months.
60 is definitely very much exaggerated. 20-30 is realistic in my opinion.
Simpson already sold his Fabia S2000 for a Fabia R5 for competing in Ypres. I don't know of others who would compete with a Fabia R5 in Ypres, no factory driver maybe one of the Czech's? It's a pity that Loix probably won't have his Fabia R5 for the Wallonie.
I think that on the first weekend of May, Baumschlager (Wechselland Rallye), Loix (Rallye de Wallonie) and Scandola (Rally Adriatico) will compete with the new Fabia
Petter Kristiansen will do at least Ypres with Skoda Fabia S2000 - http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=17202

Is Shakedown the same stage again this year? I thought it had to be moved for some reason, but would be great if not.
Ahh, thanks - I discovered it by accident last year whilst on my way to the Nurburgring 24 Hours and thought I'd do the rally properly this year, so for me I'm looking forward to the atmosphere if it's anything similar to last year.
On Friday, is it possible to watch 2 stages from each loop? They all look fairly close to each other.
If you watch only some 15-20 crews (first 15 shall start every 2 minutes, after that it's every minute), I think it's possible to see 4 stages on friday. It's always interesting to choose some strategical place where you can move quickly from one stage to the other. ;)
Abbring in Tsjoen's DS3!
The boss of Ypres rally Alain Penasse is one of the top Hyundai Motorsport managers ;)
I'm sure it will be with their blessing; their driver gets a chance to keep his hand in, during an international event, and you don't have to pay a penny? Might be that the benefit outweighs the 'cost'. Great news though.
I take it we're not expecting any Skoda R5s apart from one for Loix?
A lot of teams have them ordered but it depends when they will be delivered. From those who may do Ypres I think it may be Kobus, Orsák and Tlusťák.
I haven't heard any confirmation either. That's why I used the word "may" ;)
I never understood the rumour anyway, even last year was a very tight budget for team Kobus and even no opportunities for '15, only a one off at Ypres ... can you imagine ordering the latest and most expensive R5 available only for one event, cause there is no money for more outings? So there were rumours Wevers could buy one and Kobus could rent it. Or no rumours at all. Let's see, I would enjoy it if Hermen Kobus would be at Ypres.
Sorry, I'm going to ask a few newbie questions over the next month; what's the deal with tickets? I never needed one last year, but I didn't do any if the stages proper.
The price advertised on the site looks fairly expensive if it doesn't include Shakedown; what's the rough 'per stage' price?
