Too bad Lankamaa is out!
Yes. And Urria and only one stage on Sunday.
On the other hand the "full" Ouninpohja is back in and on sunday Myhinpaa is a perfect powerstage! Also shakedown on Ruuhimaki seems better to me than on Laajavuori. Still a good itinerary, last year was a bit better IMO, but it can't always improve. :)
wuhuuuuuuu, finally! cant wait for august! Going for the first time with bunch of friends, should be fun. Really hoping for a great result for Estonians.
For sure NORF never can be boring or something. And I know Kai and Co have lots of work to get this Itenary so good, but still some of the past stages always are missed. Laukka, Sirkkamäki...
Normally, at least between Finns, the first reaction when new route is published, is that again the same old, same old. Per, you've had the chance to spectate at Lankamaa year in, year out. Personally I don't miss Lankamaa. I think organisers would've preferred to run few proper stages on Thursday afternoon, but thanks to FIA, it wasn't allowed.
I think this year's route is good. At least it's been quality-proofed. I would've preferred something new as like we know, there are a lot of roads in the area that could be used regarding their location.
Most notable change is of course the reversed running direction of Myhinpää stage. Also the first part, new part of Jukojärvi stage could bring something good. And of course Ouninpohjantie and Ouninpohja stage belongs together, so if one can't come with any other where to go spectate, the best gravel road in the world is available.
No service on Friday brings extra twist for the opening day. A small mistake can be extremely costly. No one would want to have misfunctioning power steering on the opening leg or anything similar.
Also Ruuhimäki makes a perfect shakedown. It's the golden calling card of Rally Finland and especially to new fans. If first impressions of WRC cars flying pass the last section leaves you cold, it's better to pack up and go since it doesn't get better. :-)
For sure. I´ve been at Lankamaa a couple of times and same there for me. Can live without that stage, too. And I´m not complaining. Just want more, MORE ;) You know.
Lots of people though last day and the night before. Wasn´t that nice staying on that circus "first year" they drove Myhinpää in 2009 (?). But still I´ll be there somewhere.
I´ll PM you later on, after videos been released. Have a nice coming weekend.
Yesterday I added the maps of the Rally Finland 2015 to my website. Please check out the stage onboard videos. They have GPS tracking support, so you can see the current position of the car in the map.

So I understand NORF has some issues with costs for ambulances and stuff. Costs has rised 100%. Just saw some finnish comments on Twitter about that. Any comments someone of our brothers from Finland? Teemu?
Alexey Lukyanuk is going to do NORF on Fiesta WRC. With his regular co-driver and thanks to Novikov's former sponsor.

Entries can be seen here: https://akk.autourheilu.fi/Public/Ki...id=3965&edit=0 "Osallistujat". 8 drivers so far.
And national Vetomies-Rally entrants are here: https://akk.autourheilu.fi/Public/Ki...id=3966&edit=0. In Vetomies there are already 38 drivers entered. 31 drivers in 2WD class and 7 in 4WD class.
Interesting that Italian Oreste Milani entered to Vetomies today with his Mitsubishi.
Jari Huttunen won the prize drive for Rally Finland in WRC3 DS3R3. Really the best candidate won, hopefully he will cash in this opportunity.

Will it be published any drive trough videos from this years stages? Teemu - do you know? Maybe Kai?
I don't know about YouTube links like last year. Why not?
That I know that YLE Ralliradio has drove through the stages with organisers, somat least some kind recce videos will come. Those were filmed weeks ago, so it'll look a lot different compared to the actual event.
But Yle drive through wasn´t same quality as vids from organizer. Pity if not published.
Yeah, but only study a little. Like Jukojärvi the first new part isn´t there, so I miss last years drive through vids from organizer...
WANTED!!!!
Lookin for privateer team who's coming to NORF to share our VIP-truck in service park...
We are going to bring 12x6m VIP-truck but we need a little pit more space than organisation give's to all(10x10m). So if you are coming with one service-van(or two small one...) let's put our service area's together(10x20m). There is plenty of space for rallycar's, tent's and service-van's and also great VIP-truck with big tv, kitchen, tables, etc to our use only. I can send some pic's if needed...
If you are interested please sen me a email and let's see what happened...

I´m really looking forward to my first visit of NORF. But does anybody knows when the Rally Passes will be send? I ordered them some weeks ago and I already travel to Finland on 19th July. Hopefully i´ll get them in time . How was it the years before? Thanks a lot... :).
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah we'll also come to Finland for the first time :D
Sooo happy :D
Do you have to buy the tickets in advance or can you also buy them at the petrol stations?
You can buy passes on all Neste oil petrol stations in southern Finland.

Can someone tell where the jump at 0:42 in this video is?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-bm0Wo__MA
And 0:18 in this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMhmEXAzK3k :)
Thanks for checking out my video :)
0:42 is in Painaa, and from what i can see it's in this year's SS14/18 Horka stage.
If you look at where the stage crosses an junction close to the main road halfway through the stage, the jump is about halfway between that and the next junction right, i think it was 1.5km (or more) down from the junction right. I took a shortcut through the forest from the road right next to the stage :)
84 entrants for the rally. I have to say quite poor entry list for Rally Finland again. Only one Finnish driver in WRC. Luckily In support categories the situation is much better.
Alexey Lukyanuk & Alexey Arnautov

There is still a lot of cars, but the quality is rather poor. I think that it will be difficult to get much people to follow the rally. Not so easy situation for Rally Finland / AKK Motorsport anymore.
It tells also something that there is only one Finnish WRC car driver. The financial situation is difficult, but so far Rally Finland has been one of the most wanted target for the companies/sponsors.
"The big audience" is interested about the main class and if drivers like Juho Hänninen and Jarkko Nikara are not able to collect enough money to compete at all it will be very difficult for others.
Of course Lappi and Suninen are coming to the top, but we will miss you Mikko!
However in the rally's Facebook page they say all the drivers are not yet on the list so we have to wait and see. The seeded entry list is coming on friday.
Juho Hänninen Fiesta WRC !!!
And now Juho Hänninen is in the list with Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
17 x WRC and missing driver is from Norway...
