I believe Rokland could be switching to a 208 R2 at some point in the year :)
And Chris Ingram is trying to get the budget together for it.
There was a good ongoing discussion about juniors in 2014 News and Results thread. Please don't cut it in two and continue using original topic. There is not so many news that the juniors would stay unseen.

Well, if the JWRC is pricing themselves out of the picture, this might be a very active thread this season.
I am chearing for all initiatives that might make ERC coming to where IRC was, being the 2nd tier championship world wide!
Mattias Olsson from sweden will do the series in a Fiesta R2
Crugnola in JERC. 6 rallies in a Romanian Peugeot 208 R2!

For me it is surprise that he is talking about so many rallies as I know that he has not budget for all of them now...Quote:

PSA needs to survive JWRC as there is not so big interest about it.
I see that you are quite out of reality ;)Quote:

I think if there are 10 entrants for JWRC they should be happy, way too expensive. Will be interesting if Lefebvre (FFSA) get some competition.. Probably Gilbert another (PSA) supported driver.
For oncoming nothing.Quote:

Looking at the level of JWRC 2014 is still too early, but for example from recent years three Academy/JWRC champions are entering Rally Sweden with WRC and I expect one of them to end up around top 5. I am strongly disagreeing that R2 era JWRC was piece of shit.Quote:

Pluto: I have only been following IRC/ERC since "Hänninen time", so I maid be wrong sometimes.
There was only one year when IRC/ERC 2WD was really strong (and possibly stronger than WRC 2WD) and that was in 2010 when the Clio Trophy was held within the IRC.
We have to count regulars not every one-off starter. On the other hand the particular 2WD entry lists are often better than in WRC. That is sure. For example last year's Ypres.
Jan Cerny will do junior ERC with Peugeot 208 R2 - http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=15991
And also Jean-Mathieu Leandri is confirmed - http://www.autosport.cz/clanek.php?cl=15992
Remind me what the prize for the JERC winner is?
Some R5 starts in ERC 2015. No number of events was specified.
Great news :)Quote:

Another driver who is going to compete in JERC is Aleks Zawada from Poland. He has been competing in Polish championship at the wheel of Renault Clio R3 for a few years, but without any big success. For JERC he switches his car to Peugeot 208 R2. His co-driver will be Cathy Derousseaux from France.
From the Clio years...

Maybe you are right. But if the level of championship is so terrible, why didn't Lefèbvre easily win it? :)Quote:

Murat Bostanci wanted to participate, but he is old...
Drivers in JWRC must be 25 or under on 1st January 2014 and Murat was born on 3.12.1988, so he is 25 right now and it means he isn´t too old. :)
On the 1st of January, he was 25 and 29 days, so older than 25! ;)Quote:

We are talking about JERC, not JWRC. To be eligible for start in JRC you must born 1.1.1989 or later.

Another competitor enters!
Seems to develop a success this championship!
