Hey everybody, Daytona testing is underway! That means that the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season is right around the corner. I have the pickems all set up, and the Daytona 500 pickem thread should pop up in just about a month from now.


This is the thread that will be the official results thread. When Mark works his magic the title of this thread will change and display the results as you all are used to by now.

Congrats to the 2012 Champion MD24. I think he has had it way too easy this year, so I decided I am entering the fray, just to keep him honest :p :

I would have beaten him, but I missed a race the week I moved when the cable company had problems getting my internet connection done. He had better watch his back though,because I'm gonna get him this year! :) :up:

I to missed a race and finished my best so far. if you front runners think theres no competition then youre sadly mistaken. i will be on my game this year.

Just so everyone knows, there is still a problem with the automated system. Mark is aware of the sitaution. Just keep making those picks, they are still stored here, and when the scoring system is up and running it won't take me but a minute or two to score them. ;)

Just for interest my manual calc for the positions so far after 2 rounds gives equal leaders, Alexamateo and themo (475 points) , the computer may split them but in total numbers they did exactly the same for both rounds! I'm happy with my 433 point sixth place (not bad for someone who knows damn all about 'roundy roundy' stuff ;) )

It's fixed now....Tstran won the Daytona 500, and Themo won Phoenix....

Themo is the points leader with 490, 20 points ahead of Alexamateo (470) and 34 points ahead of tstran (456)

Great work guys - just can't out-smart them computators!
At least I correctly worked out that I'd have 433 points to date - still happy, and no one too far a head at the moment.

Ok y'all, we almost have this pickem thing completely straightened out. As soon as Mark gives me the go ahead I will be putting up the rest of the threads for the rest of the year, and they will automatically open and close like they are supposed to, and you will be able to click the pick link to make your picks...


I'm ready to score the races from Richmond through Loudon, but the system is not ready for me to do that just yet, but it will be soon.

On a side, unrelated note-Mark has left the door open for an expansion of the number of series that can be incorporated into the automated pickem's for 2014. Would you like for me to lobby to add the Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series to this as well?

All of the races are up to date and scored.....not sure why the title didn't change.

Not sure what the deal is with Texas, why it didn't open.

No score for me between rounds 26 - 30. May have missed 1 but pretty sure I was on time for all the others (thought I'd won one too!)

Recount if it's not to much of a PITA. (quick check on 27 & 28 and my entries are in the thread)
