I love Kurt, but that boy sure has a tough time with his temper.
He did a great job until he got into the wall with about 10 to go. Wonder how all those big dollar sponsors like seeing that blank sided car running in the top ten most of the race?
I'm not at all surprised at Kurt's behavior. It was just a matter of time until the right circumstances set him off again. Thankfully nobody was injured in the process.
I don't believe any big dollar sponsors can take a chance on signing with Kurt because of his self control issues. I hope his little brother is paying attention.
Kurt is kind of a loose cannon.
Kind of? :Big LaughQuote:

Hey, Kurt Busch gets Phoenix into the All Star Race!! They don't have to run the Showdown race like Dale Earnhardt Jr., AJ Allmedinger, or the Ganassi drivers.
I honestly don't know what all the fuss is all about. Judging by Jimmy Spencer's reaction I was expecting Kurt looking to mow down Newman's pit crew.

Such a waste of talent.
Not that I'm standing up for Kurt, but Ryan Newman is a dick as well...so two peas in a pod if you ask me.Quote:

One of the top 5 guys in Cup on talent (arguably) and he is running for a team with limited finances and NW in the car his bro owns. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out this wont change or improve until he changes is attitude. What killed him in Darlington in my mind was his denial of almost running Newman's crew over (which I can maybe buy if he didn't then run into Ryan at the end of the race). This guy keeps thinking you can use a car as a weapon. I think NASCAR needs to give him another time out.....
I wonder if that fat boy from Newman's crew is going to hold Newman so the members of Bowyer's pit crew that Newman ran over today at Dover can kick Newman's butt?
Kurt Busch is "The Volcano", not any of those guys. : )
NASCAR suspends Kurt Busch for Pocono - Jun 04, 2012 - NASCAR.COM
Kurt has been suspended from Pocono, and his probation is extended until the end of the year.
Yep! Suspended from NASCAR until June 13 for "actions detrimental to stock car racing; violation of probation; verbal abuse to a media member.", and has had his previously sanctioned probationary period extended until December 31, 2012.
I really feel for Phoenix Racing.
What a fool.
His career may well be over.
Some rumors that Finch may not put him back in the car after Pocono. We shall see.
That wouldn't surprise me. Kurt is an incorrigible loose cannon. If I were a team owner I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team.Quote:

Has Phoenix Racing had enough?
The Speed TV clip is also very telling.
This pic from Saturday is very telling.

I don't...James Finch would have to be wilfully naive or soft hearted to believe Kurt wasn't going to snap sooner or later.Quote:

Part of it is his "Don't You Know who I Am" attitude.Quote:

Cool. A sponsor would keep KB in the Phoenix car.Quote:

Finch made the right decision.
CUP: Finch Keeps Busch

#51 Team votes to keep Busch:
When NASCAR team owner James Finch announced he would retain Kurt Busch as driver of his #51 Chevy, he noted that the reason was quite simple: The team's crew members voted to keep Busch. Intrigued as to exactly why they voted that way, [ESPN's Marty Smith] sought those Phoenix Racing crewmen out for answers. What heI got was an eye-opening explanation of the value of elite talent in NASCAR racing, from a group of gritty, no-nonsense racers (Not a bunch of intenet fan-boys. - Lee Roy's comment) who aren't apt to care about being cussed or chided -- and are oddly inspired by it. The #51 crew painted a completely different picture of Busch than that which we see during the tirades and the meltdowns and the tantrums. They discussed a guy who is willing to get his hands dirty right alongside them, who rides with them to testing sessions, and who buys them beers at the bar. And who can drive better than anyone else.(see quotes by crew chief, GM and others at ESPN.com)(6-17-2012)
From Sporting News:
Busch's latest incident comes a week after serving a one-week suspension for making threating comments to Sporting News reporter Bob Pockrass after the Dover Nationwide Series race.
Busch has been ordered by Sprint Cup team owner James Finch to avoid talking to reporters when the two met Tuesday. But after finishing third in the Alliance Truck Parts 250, he had to make a mandatory appearance in the media center.
According to the ESPN report, a Motor Racing Network radio pit reporter said on the live broadcast of Saturday's race that Busch had left without interviewing. Busch was told of the comments and replied, "That's what everybody says, don't they."
Busch then left the interview room and was followed by reporters who were told he would return. ESPN's Marty Smith followed Busch with a camera crew and was motioned over to Busch. When Smith got there, according to ESPN, Busch said he wasn't doing interviews there, adding, "You ever hear of sarcasm?"
That reportedly led to a brief exchange during which Busch said, "You don't know how long I've been working on this."

Kurt Busch is just a stupid hot head. Period.
Agreed. I bet we'll see him win tomorrow at Road America. Not that I'm happy about that, because I've grown tired of his volatile behavior. It's amusing and interesting for a little while, but after that, it wears on you. But like you said, he's talented!
RAGE!!! :laugh:Quote:
