FIA handling the WRC and advices what they´d do

I think this forum needs this topic as the discussion of what has gone wrong in the WRC and how FIA has handled the World Rally Championship during the last 6-12 months has been in many different topic.

I want you guys also to discuss the role Mr Todt has in this. What has he done? And what has he not done?

How everyone sees the future doesn´t respond on the way we want the FIA to do. It´s too general.

I want a thread that where FIA will be scrutinized into bare skin. And also the role Mr Todt has played in this. What he has done or not done.

Ok...The filming for sweden was apparently going to cost 300 000 euros....The sort of money that Jean Todt would probably wipe his A**e with, and the organisers or Rally Sweden are fighting tooth and nail to find the budget.
Couldn't the Fia have covered the costs for this one event? The 300 000 euros probably couldnt cover the costs of one formula 1 drivers hotel bills for a week, and yet this is all the Finnish filming company want to film a whole round of the WRC.

Fia a none profit organisation? :beer:

The FIA's role in Motorsport is that of Governance and not Management. There is one hellave big difference between the two roles and in the past few years we have seen too much management coming from people elected to govern.

At present we do appear to geting the FIA back on track into their role as goveners once again so I support them for that.

As for the future exposure of the WRC, leave it to the promotors of the individual events and then we may start to see some variety in the TV programs etc

As a managing organisation it´s their role and obligation to decide whom sshall be the one promoting the WRC. That can´t be taken away from them. In my world they have failed in doing that having this situation.

I understand your opinion for this Thread but for years we see at many threads a discussion of how the FIA works with the World Rally Championship.
Do we need a thread about their politics?
Yes I see the FIA like that, ​​they work as politicians. we already know their economy is important and their own salary + paid travel where they want to go.
In all bars have already become much talked about this. ;)

I'm sure the contract covers costs, but that 300,000 doesn't cover the Finnish Bar bill, that's the real budget problem.

Now back to topics: Fia and what they should do to remake the WRC. ;)

First of all, not to be greedy. When searching for a promoter, please study and investigate the backrounds of volunteers if they really are cabable of managing the job their given and NOT accept them with a first sight of cash. Now FIA is in a situation of panic and they have find anyone to fill promoting. Also, I wouldn't mind they would actually take the responsibility of their f**k ups... krhm, actions. In NHL, the organization took over Phoenix Coyotes and still are paying the bills, as long as they find a decent owner for the team. FIA is full of money, why won't they take over the finance of televising as long as they find a proper promoter. When Mr. Todt was elected, I was happy about it. I'm not so happy anymore. It's either he is not interested of WRC's well-being or he doesn't have any voice in FIA. Either way, WRC suffers bad :down:

FIA also have big problems with WTCC, GT1 and Peugeot dumped sportcars in dramatic fashion

Maybe that wouldn't be so bad. They have still managed to get Sweden on ESPN and Motors TV and some variety would be nice.

As far as I understand it WRC events have previously had to pay quite a large fee to NOS, so presumably they have some spare money now to fund some tv coverage.

FIA sees the WRC as a problem, not motorsport.
