Maybe I should go to Portugal for WRC? How is access to stages, driving in roads and conditions? Any ideas?
Im from Portugal so I might be a bit biased, however I think it's one of the top 4 rally's from the calendar regarding stages. Acess are easy even for foreigners, roads are quite ok but of course there are some gravel roads leading to spectator zones. People are also very friendly, you know, that rally family feeling and Algarve is quite nice if you want to come back from stages and have a beer with your mates. Food and accomodation aren't expensive and it's quite easy to find something.Quote:

has anyone got any tips for which stages to go to?where will be the best atmosphere for the night stages?
Best town or city close to service park to stay in? Can anyone recommend? Also, good spot to leave early in morning to go to stages! Thanks :)
been to rally portugal (from uk) for past 2 years and if you are after perfect location it would probably be vilamoura or albufeira,we stay in lagos, which is a bit further out of the way but is where a friend owns a villa.while i have not found the stages to be poor, the marshalls/gnr do not make it easy to move around which is frustrating. does anyone have any tips on gnr avoidance?
Does someone know where service park would be in this year?
P.s. Much appreciate for SS hints and recommendations!
service park is again at faro at the stadium, maps and itinary are on official website in the competitors section
For more information about the rally, tomorrow the entry list will be released, Rally Guide 2 with updated maps and itinerary will be released aswell. Rally will be presented on 29 of this month.
Tomorrow will be released the list with the accepted entries, not the final entry list. The Rally Guide 2 will be published tomorrow but only for the competitors, not for general public. And finally, the rally will be presented next tuesday (28th February).Quote:

BTW what's the difference between accepted entry and final entry? Just some small confirmations between both no?!
Will be interested to see how many have signed up for the now M-Sport promoted Academy.
I'm waiting for the annoucement of the drivers (and cars) who will be invited to Fafe. They're keeping them as a big secret...
Last time I heard something about it all competitors could enter (perhaps I am wrong again).
It would be very difficult all competitors entering the World Rally Sprint. It would be very expensive for the private cars and a problem of logistic for the organization.
But I'm talking about old champions and old cars.
Tomorrow is the last day for registration in both WRC Academy and PWRC. How can the list with accepted entries be announced tommorow?
The entries close tomorrow and they never announce them the closing day.
But it was mid-March, the last date for registration of PWRC?Quote:
