Almost time to turn on the blender!
there goes nascar already
thank god for the redneck gang on Comedy Central right now :D
Earlier on Tradin' Paint on Speed Channel they made a big deal about Joe Nemecheck et al going home due to the top 35 being locked in based on last years owners points through today. Well, I went ahead and pulled up the qualifying times on Jayski and set the field based on the system used from 2000-2005, where the top 36 set on speed and 37-42 were provisonals and 43 past champion if needed. Guess what?
The same people would have gone home as did anyway. The only difference was in the drivers starting position from spots 35 on back....the field would have been:
35) 84 Allmendinger
36) 38 Gilliand
37) 17 Kenseth
38) 29 Harvick
39) 6 Ragan
40) 2 Busch
41) 42 Montoya
42) 41 Sorenson
43) 18 Yeley
1-34 would have been the same as today...
The same people would have DNQ'd under both systems.
Could the pre-race show be ANY LONGER!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
no thats why I'm watching the Discovery channel.
Its a hour of a waste of time, they need to just start the damn race
now you people know why I dislike Gordon, because last week he was "upset with the #42 for racing too hard at the end of the race"
than retire you wimp, you do it to everyone else all the time
It's ok when he does it, but if someone races him....PUHLEEEASEQuote:

yes, we know all about the CoT please stop talking about it and just let them race
Engine's have started...its good to see Junior Johnson...
Harvick just gave his Hot Pass announcer the low down on the radio...he sounds confident
RC told Kevin lets go win this thing...Harv replied "10-4"
4 pace laps then green
pit road speed 30 mph....for the 29 that would be:
3900 second gear....
Probably, but you omitted mentioning they had a second round of qualifing (on usually Sat). If you don't have the car, it doesn't matter, but if you just need a little time to sort out a good car, then drivers like Joe Nemecheck might still have qualified.Quote:

Reed already took out Yeleys bumper even before the green on the pace laps :s

harvick made it up to 15th
watch out Stewart Harvick is coming in flash :D
Harvick said his car is "incredibly fast" off the corner
40th to 15 in 42 laps, thats insane, Hes gonna be tough to beat
the 17 took out the 44...fox still in commercial
pit road is closed
pit road open
a few guys stayed out...29 will be 17th on the restart....so although he lost 2 spots he made up 3 on pit road if that makes sense
