Not sure what exactly is happening in the background in Ferrari but I would love to know about it.
That was a good race—props to Norris for not folding under the pressure.

An unusual race weekend for sure.
I think all of us were expecting McLaren dominance, but somehow the weather change with temps dropping and wind shifting allowed Leclerc to put it on pole. That was fantastic considering that Ferrari really isn't a match for the papaya cars.
The race itself was one of mostly strategy for many of the cars, and the the tires not degrading as quickly as expected allowed a number of teams and drivers to roll the dice on a one stop strategy. For many of them it worked, with Lando able to hold off the late charge from Oscar after he caught him up. There wasn't much in it at the end, but finising in front it what matters. Well done to Lando for managing and having enough tire left for the duel at the end of the race. Alonso, Borteleto, Stroll, and Lawson all ended up with good finishes with the one stop race as well. I must say the Alonso led DRS train was the longest I remember, at one point it was something like 14 cars all in the DRS at once. But they rode it to the end.
Leclerc seemed very upset with the team, assuming they had adjusted something during the stop. As it turns out he had some damage that caused the change in handling. Either way, he did well to put that car in the 4th spot. And likewise Russel did well to grab that podium step.
I'm sure it's a weekend RB and Max would rather forget, and they struggled from the start with getting the car set up. And Lewis is no doubt ready for a summer break... and I think he really needs it.
