Will the track be all-tarmac this year?
I think yes.
Dayraut will be back, but not with Dacia this time : it's Mini which whill help him ! But the car will be still based on his Tork Engineering chassis.
For the moment we don't know if Dumas will restart. I hope yes :)
Yes the road was completely paved weeks after the 2011 event and last year was the first all Tarmac event.
They changed some rules this year and no co-drivers are allowed. They think co-drivers were the cause of so many incidents last year, and not allowing complete rookies to bring 1000hp cars.
Maybe a better standard for cages would be better than removing co drivers. The rookies in big power cars just makes sense, though.
PPIHC has many stupid rules.
Another one being that all belts must be 3" wide. So the FIA approved belts in my car that are also in the factory skoda and vw cars, with 2" lap belts are not allowed. But again a half-assed lightweight cage in a beginners high powered evo is ok...
Have you heard/read about the rumour of Peugeot sending a transformed 208 body(maybe with hybrid engine)to Pikes Peak
OFFICIAL today according to AutoHebdo, worldrallyman Sébastien Loeb will try to break record on the Pike Peak in june with a Peugeot 208 !!! :D
I haven't seen this thread. You were right! :up:Quote:
