I was agreeing with you and now you go and spoil it :p:
Messi was not bought, they have a philosophy and try to use as many academy players as possible...They had to go and buy big players to compete with what Madrid kept doing all the time...
It is easy to support a club which wins a lot and plays well and has many fans (But then isn't Juventus one of those clubs in the Italian context too? ). In my case I liked the way they played and the whole identity of that club just clicked for me. Also I became a fan when they had won only 1 European cup and well before their golden period from 2005 onwards, infact they were being bullied by Madrid at that time in the league and Europe.
 I thought it was the opposite. They always bought the biggest names. Cruyff, Maradona......
I remember the match Belgium - Argentina in WC 1982 when someone said that the money spent on Maradona could have bought the entire Standard Liege for Barcelona.
I too wish that, football was just a game. Now, most Club are owned by rich Arabs, Russian, American (and now also Asian) rich businessman. Isn't a game anymore ! And yes Juventus is owned by Agnelli Family, but they never put so much money in the Club. That's why in the past, we sold players like Zidane, Henry, Vieri, and next will be Pogba.
And Madrid did not buy big players then?At least in the post Cryuff (coach) era, Barca have had a strong academy with emphasis on home grown players. But to compete you need to buy of course.
I remember being a kid and reading an auto almanach ( I know, I was sad since I was a kid ) and an article was "A universe called Juventus" , about the old lady being the team of Fiat and about its many fans. The weirddo I still am always makes this association. I mean whenever you say Juventus I say A universe called Juventus -Fiat and have a flashback of the tifosi pictures in the almanach.
Meanwhile boring Serie A, brought 3 Clubs in semifinals. Juventus in CL, Napoli and Fiorentina, in EL. So much for a downgrade haha !
Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against Italian football. But in 2003 (I think) 2 Italian teams played the final. How far are those days now? I'd like Juventus to win the CL because I always root for the underdog when I don't really care about any of them. But the really tough part starts now. BVB looks like a team falling apart and Monaco may be a strong team but nothing extraordinary.
And why you think that happened ? Many foreign rich people invested loads of money on English Club. Germany never really had a financial crisis like we still have in Italy, and Barca and Real Madrid, are, and will always be too rich for any Italian Club, to compete with them. Also add that, we didn't had a good new generation of new players, like we always had in the past. All this put Serie A behind PL, La liga and German Bundesliga. Today we have 3 Club in semifinals, but unless rich people invest in Serie A, or Italy financial crisis ends, will be difficult for Serie A to go back on top, as we were in the past.
Btw, I never read anything nice from you about Italy and the Italian, so it's hard to believe, you have nothing against Italian football. But that's your problem ;)
I'm sure I did say at least one nice thing about Italy. I was delighted when they beat Germany in Euro 2012 semis for instance. I love Italy but I don't care for any Italian team in particular right now. I used to like Juventus back in the days of Pavel Nedved. But I also liked the Milan of Shevchenko and the Roma of Totti (at his peak). And I think Pirlo is a genius :p. And listening a whole stadium sing the Inno di Mameli gives me goose bumps for some reason :p. So I'd say I'm at least neutral.... as long Balotelli is not involved. My distaste for the guy knows no bounds :p.
EL draw:
Napoli-Dnipro
Fiorentina-Sevilla
Now waiting for CL draw...
Here's :
Juventus-Real Madrid
Barca-Bayern Munich
A Juventus-Bayern final would be great. I'm fed up with the spaniards and their rivalry.
gadjo, i love you ! :D
I've just became Juve's biggest fan.
But I haven`t said who I want to win......
So Juve went through? Well Done.
Pino must be ecstatic.
I missed the match. Apologies :s :p
Forza Vecchia Signora!
Lol. Looks like Pino's side will get an unexpected support from all Real's haters.
Come on a Juve v Barca final. Thats what we all want :p
You too, Brutus???????
I thought you're unable to hate......:s
Come on. Now it's donks turn.
Of course. I don't hate anyone, but I can't like Real Madrid :grenade:
3-0 wins against ManU would be sweet, had Alex Ferguson been coaching them.
Gran Torino :andrea:
^^ I see you're lost for words... :andrea:
:p:
Sorry for the mess guys, blame stupid Tapatalk App :p:
6-0 vs Getafe, nice warm up for next week steve/donks anybody see it? fantastic goals.
oh and Bayern out of the cup, so Dortmund fans can look forward to the cup final at least :)
I watched the 6-0 but my comment in the new thread was deleted by pino's stupid tapatalk app :p
Go Almerķa ! :D
Ups I have just find out, the creator of that App, he's a Juve fan !:p:
I think I was mocking Liverpool on the other thread but never mind. It's not so much fun picking up on a small team.
