Vodafone Rally de Portugal 2012

Some hingsight observations:

Hirvonen: Being slow but steady is working for his advantage for once
Latvala: No matter what the conditions, stupid mistake, cutting too much. Nothing else to it.
Tänak: Easy to say from video, but had he just braked and tried to reverse, he might have been able to get back on road with help from spectators. But, he had to make split second decision.
BIG SPECLATION: Had DMack taken big risk and taken tyres they used in Wales, who knows where Ketomaa could have been...

And: hats off to young Novikov, Östberg, Sandell and Prokov. Solid work when more experienced driver made stupid mistakes!

But Petter retired on SS6 so surely should get a 5 min penalty for SS6 and another 5 min for SS7. So are you saying it's true that SS7 was cancelled and therefore his 5 min penalty for that stage is wiped off?

That's what I thought. Colin said,

"So Petter only picks up a 5min penalty because SS7 was also cancelled. JML penalty 10mins. Get out of jail for the Ford boys!"

and from that I picked up Petter only got a 5 min penalty for SS6 and avoided it on SS7? Is Colin being a bit slow again?
