He can't do all events with just one car so he has t rent another one for some events.

Cerny fast this morning, maybe he can catch Pech.
Cerny now 0,9 from Pech.
Looks like problem or mistake for Pech on SS10, Cerny now 11.1s ahead.
I accidentally deleted my post... Pech made a mistake in one of many junctions on the stage. It is in fact sort of labyrinth made on Tatra testing grounds.
Now Cerny drops time on SS11, but still has a decent amount in hand with one stage to go.
Pech took enough time from Černý on the last stage to get on 2nd place but there is a 5 second penalty for Pech in the air (for hitting a chicane). Not confirmed in this moment though.
Cerny seemed to go a bit off the boil on the last two stages.. anyway for me at least it was a better than expected performance from him.
Kopecky was really in charge this weekend. Maybe Pech needs time to adjust to the R5 still or maybe Fabia is just too far ahead.
Černý may have gone off on the penultimate stage. If no more penalties for chicanes (a sad record of 120 chicanes on the rally) come the final results look like this:
1. Kopecký (Fabia R5) 1:30:57,8
2. Pech (Fiesta R5) +1:11,1
3. Černý (Fabia R5) +1:12,1
4. Dohnal (Focus WRC) +2:01,1
5. Odložilík (Fiesta R5) +3:04,5
6. Vlček (Fiesta R5) +3:22,7 (10 sec pen and puncture)
7. Szeja (Fiesta R5) +3:30,9 (10 sec pen)
8. Tlusťák (Fabia R5) +4:25,4 (5 sec pen)
9. Tarabus (Fabia S2000) +4:27,6 (5 sec pen) - a good example of how much the cars developed in the last few years
10. Štajf (Fabia R5) +4:52,4 (20 sec pen)
As there was an interest about the R2 here is their final top 5:
1. Wagner (208 R2) 1:41:34,8
2. Barčák (Adam R2) +1,5
3. Mareš (208 R2) +58,3 (30 sec pen)
4. Gryc (208 R2) +1:07,0
5. Dohnal (208 R2) +2:42,0 (10 sec pen and an off today)
There was only one retirement from top ten entries - Jakeš due to a crash. Březík who was leading gr.N crashed on the same place in second run.
And a final note for Ucci: Top scoring Porsche of Janota (former historic ERC champion) finished on 21st place behind 4 R2 cars. 2 of 5 cars retired due to drivetrain problems. It was full dry with anti-cutting obstacles everywhere so with little dirt on the road. On the ther hand incredible number of chicanes limit top speed advantage and moreover slows Porsches more than other cars because they are simply too big.
Thx Mirek. But I didn't follow stage times of any 911 driver, because they are just gentelman drivers. Pech driving 911 never had any troubles beeing faster compare to R2 drivers.
I hope that Pech will be faster with Fiesta already in the second event. Otherwise this championship will be very booring.....Kopecky is in his own league.
Janota isn't exactly a gentleman driver but we have to take into accout that also his car is simply nowhere near to what Pech had last year.
Anyway I meant it just as and information for You ;-)
Nice video https://youtu.be/eKCjIQIJ7lU
The best video so far including crashes of Jakeš and Březík: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn7qbblXXus
Kopecký very spectacular, Pech clearly a lot calmer. He said himself he needs more time and test to get more confident and faster.
Some updates from driver's comments:
Černý - no driving mistake but technical problems with wheel bearing caused the time loss
Pech - there are still reserves in his driving, only little issues with pop-off valve, the time lost on Tatra polygon was due to stalled engine in one junction
Dohnal - lost a lot of time at the start of the event with a mistake on Tatra polygon, due to that was out of the fight for the rest of the rally
Overall nobody was happy with the stages where six stages were circuits while four were totally artificial ones made on Tatra polygon full of chicanes. On the other hand there were huge crowds of people there.
Seeing Dhonal's Focus on these videos reminds me how boring those cars were.. even the much criticised Fabia R5 sounds more exciting.
The Focus is louder than Fabia R5 when You hear both live together.
This is what probably caused the problems of Černý towards the end of the rally. This hit is from SS3. The problems with bearing on the same wheel started at SS11 (if video doesn't open at exact moment, go to 0:18): https://youtu.be/eKCjIQIJ7lU?t=18
Finally JNK, worth watching as always. https://youtu.be/tFhHgGZGqRo
Nice onboard of Pech from the penultimate stage: https://www.mediasport.cz/rally/cesk...ardy/9975.html (at least this one is not completely flooded by chicanes)
Yes, it seems to be nowhere near his onboards with Mini or Lancer but this was his first event in R5 while he sat for years in the other cars. On the other hand Kopecký's onboards with R5 don't look that fast either. Maybe it has something to do with the R5 cars. I definitely preferred S2000 onboards over R5 but on stages R5 are mostly more spectacular for spectators.
For comparison here Kopecký from another stage: https://www.mediasport.cz/rally/cesk...ardy/9977.html
It's largely boring stages with many chicanes but there are some nice parts in it though. The onboard looks mostly very relaxed except few moments but the impression from outside wasn't like that.
It gives you a more reliable idea of the speed IMHO, the camera is a bit backward and the lense seems a bit more wide, simulating better the human eye.
A pity all those chicane! The streets can be boring but I think, in a technical point of view they are very interesting to watch the details.
One more onboard, this time Jakeš from SS1 with a crash just three corners before the finish. He was second fastest behind Kopecký at that moment. The stage is again full of chicanes but there are still some very nice high speed crests there: https://www.mediasport.cz/rally/cesk...ardy/9973.html
By the way Jakeš praised Fiesta a lot. He said that compared to the DS3 it is a lot better car, especially suspension.
New car for Dan Zpěvák, in the past 208 R2 and Ignis S1600 driver.

First time since his Mitsubishi times, that a Jakes onboard looks really fast. I'm really sorry for him, that he rolled, he would deserve a good result.
Mirek do you know why Vallasska always comes back to the czech championship? Few years ago they had problems with the Organisation every year. Now the stages are compared to other rallys in CR really bad. And it is quite ridiculous that a third of the rally was held on "artificial stages" on the Tatra testing grounds.
There is completely new organization since last year and it's made of active rally crews. Compared to the infamous years it was all a lot smoother in terms of organization but as everyone could see the stages were really bad compared to the old times. I think that the decision to bring Valašská rally back could have been taken too late considering it was held so early in the season. Also frankly after all what happened there is now lack of organizers, especially those being able to hold an event of MČR and not only sprint. The sad reality is that now there are only five high quality events in the championship - Barum, Bohemia, Český Krumlov, Šumava and Hustopeče. Příbram has been very uncertain for several years and the stages of last year's edition weren't up to MČR standards as well. At least compared to last year it seems that the trend started to reverse slowly with very nice sprints of Kopná and Jeseníky back in the calendar.
Nobodoy likes them. You hear everyone complaining about them, especially drivers of large cars. Frankly I don't know why there were so many in this rally. The number was just totaly overblown. There are events with nearly no chicanes at all (Bohemia) or very few (Barum for example). Also this year ASN actually alowed higher average speed (130 km/h instead of 120 km/h), while they made the standard chicane tighter (only God knows why). I can't explain it, maybe they were scared of accidents or of the average speed they could not estimate without more experience. I don't know.

There are some late entries like Melichárek with Fabia R5.
