Cant believe I've missed the coverage of this event, I swear the only people who have had longer shifts than me are the spectators like Hartsvouri! And the marshalls of course :)
Well done to Loeb, the best man won. I was a bit dissapointed it couldn't be a Finn that was on top here though :(
Looking forward to seeing the onboards anyway, especially of this Lappi who I keep hearing about!
Is it just me, or was this a really short rally? Glancing through the stage lengths, with the exception of the last 2 stages, the average stage length seems to be about 12kms. That seems ridiculous to me. I know Loeb is against returning to longer, endurance type rallies (ie: the true nature and original intent of the sport), but these stages are so short, you might as well be racing round a circuit.
I thought that aswel. I heard they stop the event on saturday night instead of sunday night so the crazy spectators have a day of rest on sunday to recover from all the beer they have drank on friday and saturday....But I dont know if this is true or just hear'say! :DQuote:

What the hell is up with the Fords?? Just didn't seem to have to setup/pace, I thought they were the quickest car. Have to wait for GB now, hope Jari-Matti Latvala can get some wins. Bring on VW next year, hopefully spice it up with Mr Ogier!!
Conspiracy theory #3448832: Malcolm held Ford works drivers on a tight leash this rally due to pressure from Ford/his bank manager to not have cars drop out/back because of driver error. Please discuss.
Also, someone might like to check when was the last time that both cars completed a rally without incident - seems like at least a year ago to me!
