Does anyone remember Rally Chile having had much rain over the years?
Any suggestions or recommendations for any rally podcasts that are worth listening to, other than Dirtfish, or is it the only option we've left? In English only unfortunately.
Good question, could do with an update on what I'm missing. Depends what you're after but a few YT channels I follow:
Hollie McRae; I found through here, has some long form sit down chats with figures we've all heard of and behind the scenes of working at ERC and BRC rallies. Has the knack of making friends with anybody she talks to so usually good content.
Maximum Attack; monologue form usually but clearly a car and sport man, shares his view whatever it is, usually enjoy the topics raised. Has a fantastic commentary cadence, so optional to sit in a folding chair with a flask and pretend you're at a circuit or RAC Sunday super special.
Hero-Era; An alternative suggestion for historic buffs; when I'm in the mood for the long form videos, they're just great. No times or results, just people enjoying a drive.
Irish rally podcast Krunching Gears - also discusses WRC, ERC & BRC and had some good guests.

Oliver Solberg's event scoring selections appear not too well thought out, I feel.
He has opted not to score where he looked a shoe-in to bag points and picked others that, on paper, didn't present the best balance. Like Nikolay Gryazin, budget doesn't seem to be an issue, and with it the complication of choosing the best option(s) presents an unusual dilemma.
Hindsight is such a good teacher, but you can't help but wonder whether the luxury of choice is not much of a blessing here.
The Sprint Podcast is quit fun, the guys are clearly amateurs, but they do a good job and are entertaining. It is defunct and was never news related, but some good interviews and discussions of past events.
Another one would be the Rally DNA podcast, more professional and also very enjoyable. It seems to be defunct as well but their main focus was also on historic stuff and the odd interview.
With Ford partnering with Red Bull for F1 in 2026, what performance levels are Ford expecting from M-Sport in 2025? 5th in Safari for Munster is the season's 'highlight' so far.
Would a Skoda type Rally2 operation (Rally 3 etc) be a better use of resources?
Ford don't really care already
at this point im cheering for:
1) another manufacturer to partner with msport for '27 cuz ford doenst give a cr4p
2) the 2027 rules are so 'free' that MSPORT can just build a generic hatchback with an engine to rent/sell to costumers/privateers
Waking up early on Sunday morning and seeing that forum is back.. feels good :)
what happened? i heard there were some outrages on internet servers last week. was it related?
Yohan Rossel believes he is ready for the jump to Rally1. Me thinks he should tough it out another year and lead Citroen in the new-for-2027 class that is likely to suit the French manufacturer.

It would've been good if the FFSA had funded him into the Puma Rally1 this year to replace Fourmaux. That's the only way unless you're rich as the other Teams are full.
Dirtfish seem to think his C3 Rally2 will still be competitive in 2027 vs the new spaceframe cars !
I forgot about the Promoter. They could help fund a drive for Rossel like they did for Sesks last year.
in other news, stellantis is bringing opel and citroen to formula e.
that means FOUR of their brands there (maserati and ds are there already)
rumor that maserati may leave (or be replaced by opel?) at the end of the year while citroen may either buy mclaren spot or enter as a new team.
its cool they have interest in motorsport and are also in rallying with four brands (opel, peugeot, citroen, lancia)
An interesting statistic was put together in the Estonian Rally Forum: Ott Tänak vs Sébastien Ogier.
Portugal + Sardinia + Greece: 1010 km, and the gap between the two is 16.6 seconds in Ott’s favor. Evans is next, +11 minutes behind.
Out of 57 stages, Ott or Séb has won 42.
Yesterday, after the rally, I was wondering if Seb had retired for good... It would’ve been a walk in the park for Ott. But even as a diehard Ott fan, I prefer the current situation as it's much more exciting
Goodwood FOS live rally stage steam:

Amongst those seen so far Rovanpera and JML.
Goodwood Day 2
https://www.youtube.com/live/q-46va5...OieU24MMlmv2Hy
Evans doing some more runs, Pajari, McErlean and Tanak too plus an interview where he calls the FOS Stage 'super demanding'.
Also interview with JML on the WRC and his historic Celica which he's driving here (and his Rally2 car for Finland).
This afternoon there was a nice interview with 4 of the McRae Family on the 30th Anniversary of Colin's WRC Title which is being celebrated here.
Goodwood day 3
https://www.youtube.com/live/4DHhDFa...-s9dFmsUQ72xwB
Martijn Wydaeghe driving the i20 Rally1 ! Plus interview stating Neuville had a very good test for Estonia.
Zero experience of driving it and he's whipping it round and getting air over the jumps. I enjoyed watching that.
Think I've said before that co-drivers could do a super special or something now and again. It's within the spirit of the sport.
Goodwood day 4, with the official timed runs that count for the shoot-out. Latvala is the fastest so far in his old Celica !

seb ogier had to battle in the autocross finale this weekend. found the video, but the stream had problems, so no audio =/
(seb in the middle, white car with some black and red, like a 'small gazoo' livery)

Serderidis to race in Dakar 2026 with Raptor T1+ under M-Sport name
Any forum members going to Rally Chile ? If so drop me a private message and we might be able to catch up for Rally Discussion and Bar Talk in Concepcion.
In yer Garage: Goodwood. Couple of interesting bits being a tour of the Yaris engine bay and Ford's Dakar Raptor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CQJAdGEMJk
Howard should do a few WRC stage ends.
I wonder if Ott knows that Howard used to co-drive for Elfyn's dad?
With Rally Finland now behind us, time to discuss an issue that is irredeemably changing our sport.
Ouninpohja, the only stage on the final day, accounted for 10 of 35 available points - 23km of road accounted for 28.5% of Kalle Rovanpera's total haul of points!!!
Changes to our sport are inevitable. But are we going too far?? Jonne Haltunen praised this move, but I felt a bit sad that we are losing some of rallying's enduring charm. As a fan with rally memory from the late 70s, I try not to let nostalgia cloud modern-day realities. The increasing drive towards narrower and narrower formats, though, feels wrong. Subjective word there, but there must be many who feel the same.
It was showed but in the replay
Watching the YouTube professional videos I always wonder how come official broadcast guys don’t go to amazing places like them
For a long time I dont like Sundays as it is very short for me. Of course it is mainly because they want to end the rally in midday...
The SS & PS points to prevent cruising make sense, but they should make the mileage longer.
And all the hype over the Ouninpohja stage being run twice on the Sunday.... and the only changes of place in the Overall standings were due to punctures, not time gains through driving.
Sunday gives way too many points. Supersunday should give 7 points, and the powerstage 3.
