This hasn´t anything to do with the new regulations and cars. It was a very stupid spectator and lack of marshalls on the spot.

I wonder why nobody asking wtf that spectator sitting 15 cm away from road!

Yeah, since on day light drivers are well capable to keep the cars on the road.

It could also happened with R2, place where he sat was dangerous. It's not Paddon nor new cars fault.
