Loeb is lucky

Yeah, I remember some comment from M-Sport engineer to M. Ostberg in this Rally: "You are braking too much"...
Otherwise, yes I agree the most important device in a Rally car is the Central Processing Unit between the driver's ears.
Well remember that braking is done to slow the car but every bit as important is to transfer weight around from here to there.Quote:

Might be the youngsters brake a LOT as "security blanket".. I see that a LOT al the US level..
The guys aren't going fast enough or hard enough yet many are dragging their brakes constantly because they read on some forum about "The INDISPENSABILITY!!!! of Left Foot Braking" therefore they drag their brakes till the discs glow.
That is a bit big generalisation.. there were bigger tire choice differences than just some minor differences.Quote:

I didn't said anything about power. But from braking point of view packed Citroen & Ford performance together and that kind of made me wonder. May be their brake systems are the same, I don't really know, but it was curious for me. Great video though :up:Quote:

In two of three places JML has same or higher speed before starting braking than Loeb (better to say same within the accuracy of the speedgun). Only in the first one he is so slow. How could he brake into those other corners if his brakes were so bad? Don't overestimate what You see about knowing more information to judge.Quote:
