Duval unfortunately didn't get to finish this rally.Quote:

PG Andersson congratz for your second JWRC title, it's time to step in a WRC car.
To be honest I was disappointed in Sordo's performance, as a Tarmac expert I would've expected him to finish ahead of Gronholm, I'm sure Citroen were expecting him to, and Loeb for that matter. I've said before, I can't believe Citroen haven't given Duval a C4 for the Tarmac rounds, they're not that strapped for cash are they?
Marcus said in TV, that without Loeb he would be called as a tarmac expert...Quote:

Jacko: It is almost sure that Kopecky won't continue in WRC next year.
As Duval, Sordo didn't had the opportunity to use the latest developed Goodrich-tyres. There were only enough tyres for Loeb and Gronholm. (Don't know for Mikko). This explains maybe that he couldn't follow the leaders.Quote:

(If they are not impressed by his tarmac form, they can not be too impressed with his gravel form.)
Citroen team boss Guy Frequelin admitted to some frustration over Sordo's result, as he had hoped to reduce Gronholm's lead to two points by repeating Citroen's Spanish one-two.
"They have moved closer to the leader in the drivers' championship and it's a just a shame that Dani and (co-driver) Marc (Marti) didn't succeed in splitting Seb and Marcus in the final results," Frequelin said.
"Dani perhaps lacked a little experience to adapt quickly enough to the terrain."
