I hope so, the Hyundai as it is now is clearly very tricky to set up. It seems the window is very narrow. And now being a Toyota's driver, maybe he gets a notice from there also, not to do such things on public roads..

I’m very hopeful. He seems different this year and more like confident in the interviews and even with this car he showed on Saturday how fast he could be when he got the balance right with the new tires and the conditions were stable.

I’m not a specialist but I have so far really liked the testing videos with the 25 machine. No corrections any more at mid corner and the car seems much more stable and reactive.

But test is a test. Anyway, we will find out soon how it really is.

Different persons do different things. It´s in their genes.
Giving the spectators a show is what all PR-people want you to do.
And this particular place in Monaco has been used for such displays many times before. (as shown above in this thread)

Here you can clearly see the difference between Toyota and Hyundai in the fast muddy corners, Toyota definitely much more stable and easier to drive..

Practically every rally he is penalised. But yeah, always get huge fines instead of DNQ (as many would like to see), so how again he was saved? I just pointed out that these 3 usually gets some sort of punishments like the FIA isn't looking at no one else in the world rally championship world. The real villain here is FIA with this non-sense rules. How many times did drivers crawl to the finish and save their rallies. Or drift and make some kind of show to the fans. It was always part of this sport and how are they manage to boost fan engagement if all this things will be taken out. FIA is complete joke, and I personaly would rather be happy if the whole WRC would be under some other sport organization (better at managing) or even individual crew.

I think they were lucky to get away with the penalties they got.

Don't forgot, Oliver's mum is the chair of the FIA's WRC Commission as well... Maybe this is favourable treatemtn?
