Great news, indeed! It's nice to welcome such a motorsport family in the ERC:

"Åhlin, who has made 21 starts at world level, is the grandson of the late Freddy Kottulinsky, a successful single-seater racer and former Dakar winner. Åhlin’s parents, Jerry Åhlin and Susanne Kottulinksy, were also rally drivers, while Fredrik’s sister Mikaela has gained experience in the Audi Sport TT Cup."

He also was a spectacular rally driver, not very succesful, but he was loved by the fans. I met him at Jänner Rallye 1983.

Really happy to see Freddie Ahlin move to ERC. He impressed often in his two season's in the BRC and really should have won it last year.

It will be a pretty steep learning curve this year though, doing all the events for the first time, plus on Dmacks which can be hit and miss...

I am really happy that after 7 years of persuading he finally decided to come to ERC ;)

Very big the absence of kajto,but the new drivers are very good so many champions in their countries U28 Rally champion U27 Rally champion ,second in British Rally championchip and we wait for other good announcements yet,so the ERC 2018 is much stronger than ERC 2017
