Of course the tires make a big difference. Especially when the body and everything of the car is built knowing the tires the car will be running with.Quote:

Didn't you remember time when loeb said that : "....only the tires did help me to win this rally, nothing else..."
And he is the best in WRC in chosing proper tires for his rally.
Hard to see tyres as decisive factor. Afterall Marcus and Petter are both on Michelin also. Altough it could be possible that Bf Goodrich has done tyre developepemt according to how Citroen C4 likes.
Afterall I expect more to see Petter with proper car. If Subaru decodes PSA's mysterious engine/acceleration advantage with their new model (they have had all time and reason to do it) they could be stronger challenge to Loeb than Ford. Ford looses much in acceleration and Subaru even more due to Boxer-engine.
Gotcha's! Thanks :)
What else were they supposed to show - nothing else happened?!!!!Quote:

I am afraid then why when Loeb fail to set up a good time in any stage, he starts mourning for the tires choice? Does that mean the tires may have almost 50% in total result of any driver?Quote:

What I know is that in F1, the tire is the master factor!!
Michelin and Citroen have a strong relationship since 5 or more years ago. More again, Michelin and Citroen are purely FRENCH. In 2005, Citroen was the only top team running with Michelin while Peugeot did a stupid mistake swicthing on Pirelli. This gave an advantage of Loeb to dominate the WRC in that time.
Maybe we can compare Marcus and Loeb on Michelin but not with Petter because this is his first year on Michelin and he still learning about Michelin.
Sordo is missing the beat completely.
Gronholm only 0.6 of a second behind Loeb. This is a close event!
Team Citroen know what they want, that's way they are getting it. It's not decisive advantage overall, but in some casese it could be crutual. In other words, Citroen has put a lot of effort, research, and funds to develop a good tire for its car, and all that will be taken next year. Why?Quote:

No single driver comment yet. Fine. ****ing fine.
Loeb fastest once again so far from the ford kids....just 0.6 from Gronholm though
anything on crash?
Very good post, respect.Quote:

I cannot see why the C4 is Better than the FOcus.....Quote:

It is. Mercedes found it out. Audi as well, in the end.Quote:

Did you expect Hirvonen to challenge Loeb and Marcus before coming in Ford? Did you expect Marcus to have the same pace like Like he has today with Peugeot 407? Just to show you that the car and tires have a word in the final result.
Sordo is going to lose a place
And did, too.
Sordo is still learning according to Citroen. So don't expect anything from him.

What a crap talking always about money.. Loeb is the best driver out there, think it will be the same when he drove for Subaru or Ford. The difference between the top drivers and cars are small but still clear enough. When Makinen won 4 titles it was not with the team with the most money, far from that! Even last year Loeb was the best with a 2005 spec. car against the 2006 Ford's..
I really hope Loeb will have some little bad luck because it's a bit boring these days...
BFGoodrich / Citroen could have a kind of relationship as Renault had with Michelin in F1. This year we see the Renault value with Bridgestone... maybe next year we see the value of Citroen with Pirelli. But in 2008 maybe PSA would decide to reduce the investmente in motorpsort and then the lack of money will be the reason for less perfomance :DQuote:

But, Frenquelin sad, they had no money to do that...! So, Sordo has to keep learning as well gaining points...he sad Sordo has to learn faster!
Ford for example, has 2 Stobard Fords, wich at least Latvala is learning and being more competitive.
So, why do you say that Citroën has more money than the others teams? Where are the links/sources to suport that?
All i know is that Citroën has around half of the money they had in 2005.
Loeb once again......Nice fight between SOlberg and Gronholm...Sordo off the p[ace
Talking about F1...Toyota has, by far, more money to send in F1 and get results...and after a few years there "learning", not even a single race they won.Quote:
