The Hyundai at 2.22 looks to have set the shocks up better, looks like a driver set up issue rather than a car design issue.

Funny isn't it - usually JML or Meeke find the only rock in 20km of stage. In Mexico Latvala has avoided everything that is 'in your face' thus far. Just when I'd stopped believing he had a performance left for my Pickem. But for those who still selected him keep the rule in mind '1st or 2nd otherwise nowhere'
All the cars jump very nose heavy on that place, land hard on front but all of them stick their rear axle to the ground at first contact while that one Hyundai suffered from clearly visible violent rebound of the rear axle. Similar to what Fabias R5 did last year in Portugal before they sorted it out.
Also these "fake" jumps often seem to be difficult for cars. It's a very short/sharp jump, quite unnatural. They seem to "kick" the cars much more than a normal jump would.
there are so many factors, not only speed and arriving angle, but also throttle/brake position, damper springs, clicks, ride height, etc influenting behaviour of the car during take-off and landing that it's hard to judge. Also sometimes you need to sacrifice one "special" jump like this one to have good setup for other part of the stage, sometimes you ned to find compromise, etc.
Ogier 27 minutes faster than himself at first split. What a champion!
Mads +4.8 already in first split
wrong tires again?
Maybe Mads is playing the long-game, waiting for others to go off or have problems...
Latvala -3.6s at first split
Good splits by Paddon!
"how to become a rally driver" another lecture by Hayden Paddon, well done !!
i hope i do not jinx him.
Mads is so sloooow. He is never going to win a rally:rolleyes:
Mads Østberg @MadsOstberg
SS11 18:15.1 "Quite ok. Tricky conditions. I've retired on this stage at least twice before so I'm happy to get through. Not the cleanest run through, something wrong with the gear shift I think."
Latvala is the quickest, look of the times
Latvala Flying!! hanaa JM hanaa!!! :)
mega time from Latvala, 51 secs now ahead of Ogier.
Latvala! Crazyyy
Can Latvala avoid any problems and win the rally?
Is Camilli stopped?
yes he is... This hurts a bit. His confidence should be undert the ground and digging by now.
Because I like his attitude, he is fast but knows the limits of the competition and the car, he shows progress and maturity. He started this rally slow then when his confidence grew he attacked and his times are very respectable and fast. If he manages to beat Sordo it is going to be a great show of maturity. He uses the pac-man method of dominace against his rivals eating away chunks of time steadily little by little.
no worries Camilli, your master is still happy
