Stages like today really show the power of not knowing the splits. It's great. Some guys unhappy with their times turned out to be fast. Some guys happy and then shocked to see the timesheets.

Great comeback by Evans after his Australia nightmare... superb.

Ogier can still win this and probably he will...
It's occasions like this where the conditions negate power advantages that driver ability (not just keeping the foot planted) counts.
That said Ogier without the puncture would have been quick enough - but too many of the established drivers appear to lack the motivation to take up the challenge.
Tomorrow will be interesting!
Actually I'm a bit disappointed by the syndrom of cautiousness in here. Ok, the roads were a real mess but this is when you have to show some balls. I've seen few of them actually.
Evans was brilliant but the answer to his pace was probably a mixture of big bollocks and fantastic gravel crew notes. He even said his gravel crew were spot on. Who is going his gravel notes? Gwyndaf did them for a while I think?
Plenty of support for the Welshman Evans may have helped his performance...

Tidemand hit something? Suspension problems on a tarmac rally doesn't seem very likely if he didn't.

I find it kind of sad that, out of all the 10,000 Corsican corners that could catch out Thierry Neuville, there was a Belgian flag placed on the one that did...

Ogier retired on way back to SP/PF. Will restart under R2 tomorrow.

If the last stage, penalty is 10 min i think
no hope for a win then... pity it would be nice to see him at full throttle mode.
Yep 10 mins as though he hadn't completed the stage - He aint coming back from that, see my Pickem, I had a premonition! Didn't expect Elfyn to shine though, very good to see it. Noticeable that Breen is leading WRC 2 and Abbring has also had a great day. Anyone who remembers myprevious posting history will know how pleased I am to see that. I expect that Paddon will also beat Sordo come Sunday. This is where Mikkelsen and Tanak need to demonstrate how much of a future they have in WRC!
