how many drivers have scored their first TWO caree victories at restreictor plate races and who are they?
Well, Waltrip is one of them...
And Sterling Marlin's the other.
Jimmy Spencer scored his first 2 career victories @ restrictor plate races :
the July 02 race @ Daytona followed by the July 24 race @ Talladega in 1994. :D
(Jimmy Spencer was driving the Junior Johnson #27 MacDonald's Ford)
djarumdudley, Does anyone have the correct answer??????
I think Hoss, Stan, and I are each 1/3 right! :p :Quote:

djarumdudley must be having a problem as he missed the games this week.
sorry, been holed up at work. indeed everyone is 1/3 correct. Stan can go ahead as he finished this one up. another factoid of those three only Sterling Marlin has been able to win a non-restricted race.
also i do believe i got my picks for the week in. just spent a bunch of time deleting the email replies!

Bobby and Terry Labonte
Bobby and Terry Labonte have finished one-two 3 times in their career, most recently in 1997 when Terry beat Bobby in the fall race at Talladega, but unfortunately, this is not the right answer. :p :Quote:

Hint....think win column.
A driver from North Carolina winning a race.
Damn Hoss. That is good. I thought that no one would get that question.Quote:

Thanks muggle.
Name the last brother combo to win back to back Cup races, if any.
It happened twice in 1995 ...
race 13 @ Pocono won by Terry Labonte followed by race 14 @ Michigan won by Bobby Labonte ...
race 21 @ Michigan won by Bobby Labonte followed by race 22 @ Bristol won by Terry Labonte ...
Hoss, wtf you been. :) We need a reply to Stan's answer.Quote:

heh, I just wanted to see you tell Stan that he didn't have the correct answer. :D
Kyle Busch - Fontana - 9-4-05
Kurt Busch - Richmond - 9-10-05
Nice, lol...your turn muggle not.
May 6, 1991 at Talladega Kyle Petty was involved in an accident and broke his leg. A driver tried to squeeze between Mark Martin and Kyle causing a 20 car pileup.
Who was the driver that caused the wreck.
Ernie 'Swervin' Irvan
Correct, your go.Quote:

"rebellon within the ranks"
No rebellion to it actually, just someone going out of their way to put in a dig. http://www.motorsportforum.com/forum...es/icons/s.gif
"Makes for great commentation."
Or maybe not, I have decided to not to be incorrect again. http://www.motorsportforum.com/forum...ongue-anim.gif
"when was the last time Stan was wrong?"
I've been wrong several times, if you ask I am sure "someone" could give you a list. http://www.motorsportforum.com/forum...s/rolleyes.gif
But, it was a friendly dig. :)Quote:

Jimmie Johnson is going for 4 wins in a row at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, an impressive feat.
Who was the last driver to win 4 consecutive events at the same track, when, and what track?
Earnhardt Jr at Talladega from '01-'03 i believe.
if i recall correctly Kenseth finished second to Johnson i two of those events and also won the two prior to Johnson's streak. impressive in itself.
Jimmie Johnson @ Lowe's in 2004 & 2005
tstran is correct, JJ was the last to do it.
I probably should have said "races" instead of "events" though, becasue the last person to actually win 4 straight "events" at a track(meaning the same race) was Gordon's 4 straight Southern 500's in the 90's. That is an impressive win streak at a tough track.
Your go, tstran.
I actually thought you did mean events and was seaching for that, but I saw that Djarumdudley had Joonyer's four 'Dega wins and figured it was races that you were looking for.
