Look after nr.10 Egon Kaur. Even that he drives an older model, he should give you nice and spectacular show.
It looks they are all rally gentleman drivers... by this video I would say that Rallye Epernay Vins de Champagne was very poor rally...Quote:

Wow stunning news from France !!!
Well known driver(in the french gravel championship) Arnaud Mordacq has bought a Seat Cordoba WRC to run this year's championship(start at Auxerre on the 13th april) !!! :D
He drove an often unreliable Ford Escort Cosworth WRC before(with some success when the car worked well) ;)
Pleasant news, as the Cordoba is a very rare(if not unique) car seen on french rallies :)
A good win for Mark van Eldik (Subaru Impreza WRC) in the Almere Rally, second round of the Dutch Rally Open. He beat Erik Wevers (Toyota Corolla WRC) and first round winner Jasper van den Heuvel (Mitsubishi Lancer WRC) who fell back near the end with mechanical problems.
Young driver Hans Weijs jr. was in a class of his own in Group N, and other young talent Kevin Abbring won his second rally in a row in the Mitsubishi Colt Cup. Jan de Winkel took his almost customary F2 win with his Clio S1600.

That official was my hero of the last weekend. The other official who was standing nearby was having his yellow flag in his hand already. But that man walked calmly in the deep water and took the beam out! Respect!Quote:

Are you sure it is a Focus WRC03? I know a Focus WRC02 was sold to Swizerland(X6 FMC).Quote:

More confirmed than rumoured: Dutch driver Erik Wevers, formerly in a Corolla, bought 5 Fabia WRC's, of which 2 will drive in the Dutch championship. Where or when the cars will make their appearance is not certain yet.
However, it's still a rumour at this point, but it's getting stronger every day.
5? He is going to crash them so often? :D

Take a look at Lyon-Charbonničres entrylist(not complete yet) !!!
http://www.asarhone.com/v21/Charbonn...rbonnieres.htm
This time seven Porsche GT(including one driven by...François Delecour)will run the event(6 of 7 will run the Trophée Michelin)
You should also add one or two Aston-Martin/Prodrive on the GT list ;)
Many many WRC cars(three of them are still missing on the list)
The 306 Maxi Kit-cars are numerous(there will be about 8-9) and all running the Trophée Michelin too
Add to this two S2000 cars...
Fantastic entrylist indeed :bounce:
The first round of the Hungarian Championship (Eger Rally) was on the last weekend.

What's happened with Spitzmüller ?
And.. news about Szabó?
Thanks in Advance ;)
Strong rumors says, that Szabó Gergô will participate in IRC from Turkey onward with an Evo IX, but nothing confirmed now officially.
Spitzmüller has simply chosen the wrong car, that service team struggled the whole 2006 season with Tamás Turi, now the same with Spitzmüller. Some minor mechanical failure, the some bigger...
In Eger he had only 1 SS where he hasn't got any problems with the car, so this year could be a disaster for him if he stays with Profiko...
See post below.
Spitzmüller had a gearbox failure on the last stage.Quote:

Well, if it's true, probably 2 of them will be used for the Dutch championship (Erik Wevers, René Kuipers) and the remaining for other countries I suppose.Quote:

The problem is that the Corolla seems to had his best time. Also, the car will be outhomologated this year. If Wevers want's to compete for the championship, a new car is needed to fight against the mighty S12 of van Eldik and v/d Heuvel's Lancer WRC.
No, it's not. The F.I.A. has postponed the homologation with 2 years, after a recent request of Erik Wevers himself ;)Quote:

Pieter Tsjoen is 4th overall at 1.33.8 of Freddy (Tsjoen isn't at 100% of his health, he had some problem in a football game last week)
Chris Van Woensel is 5th and Kris Princen in the Clio R3 is 6th Overall.
Let's wait for news from other forum members from Belgium ;)
Hello, here a short report:
Larry Cols had a turbo failure in SS8 and lost 1’30”. Loix was after SS13 only 10 seconds ahead of Peter Desmet in his Toyota Corolla WRC, but Desmet had a puncture in SS14. The Corolla driver lost 2 minutes and two places.
Final results, only top 6 until now:
1 Freddy Loix (Volkswagen Polo Super 2000)
2 Larry Cols (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo8 Group A)
3 Pieter Tsjoen (Fiat Punto Super 2000)
4 Peter Desmet (Toyota Corolla WRC)
5 Chris Van Woensel (Nissan 350Z)
6 Kris Princen (Renault Clio R3)
You can see 6 different markes in the top 6.
Final results: http://www.tacrally.be/v3/uitslag/pdf/16_NT_NA.pdf
I was in Tielt (TAC) yesterday and it was a great rally. I was really happy to see Fast Freddy win in his Polo!!! There were very great battles, long ago that I see so exciting battles in Belgian chamionship!
Also the R3 was nice to see, but I think it has a lot more potential than showed this weekend, of course because it is new.
I somebody tells me ever again that S2000's are not spectacular I will laugh him in the face. Yesterdag on stage 13 we were in a highspeed corner and the S2000's were A LOT more sideways than the RWD cars like the 350Z or the historic escorts, the S2000's are just GREAT!!!
