Yes, Basso went off - wonder if he got stuck off road, car doesn't look too bad:

Just a dent in Giando's car.
I do wonder whether there is something in the theory that the Abarth drivers have to push harder to keep up and that is why we tend to see more errors from them.
I believe they have especialy when Basso is the only one to be able to keep the pace. He said in Ypres that he has to take a big risk.
Will M van Dalen have a word with Vouilloz?
Basso damaged the clutch/transmission when he went off.
Pitty for Basso and for the rally :(
Meeke will be third, hope the Skoda's will slow down to make it to the finish. Do you guys realise that this could be the third overall victory for Skoda in IRC, who would have tought that??? :D :D :D (I'm happy for them!)
I don't think so, because although Kronos prepare both cars (Meeke and Nico) they are funded separate, so I guess it is up to Peugeot Belgium...Quote:

I saw the Eurosport tv show yesterday and Loix said he has to use setup of Vouilloz, and he is not happy about it. He cannot find confidence (in the rear end). Why does he have to use THAT setup and why can't he change it? Maybe he should (or will) have to look for another drive for next year. I'm dreaming out loud, but a Fiesta S2000 run by a Belgian team Floral Racing would be great ;) (this is just me dreaming, not even a rumour!!!).
That makes sense and I'm sure Meeke would rather earn 3rd than be given it.Quote:

Wilks lost 15 minutes in SS11.
Nice fight for the IRC 2WD title. Millet is only 20 seconds ahead of Villa.
According to PLuto both Basso and Wilks made spin that way that their front wheels were off road and there were no spectators around to push them back quickly.
Thanks Mirek and PLuto.
SS13 should be live by now.
Looks like the 2 Fabias are consolidating their positions and driving to the finish.
and no teamorder from kronos yet.
Program live from Service Park now on Asturias TV:

Will we get any stage coverage?Quote:

Seems Abarth have a problem engaging their reverse gear, this was Basso's main problem today, also had to drive cautious in Madeira because of it and I think Alen had the same problem when he spun on the final stage on Azores:

Hevia may have a problem on the stage, no details.
Yes, he is not in finish :(
Edit: +4:14...
He's just arrived stage finish, puncture.
Ohhh no :(
Bad luck for Hevia after a fabulous drive.
Rally is not over yet. Anything can happen.
Kopecky through, phew! Great run for Skoda, winning their last 3 events.
Yeah, a bit lucky victory but that counts as well. Great job, Jan! :)
Pitty for Slavov who retired with mechanical problem on SS14...
i am curious to see if we are going to have cooking from Kronos :p :
edit from Vouilloz time,i don t think so.
There are still plenty of opportunities to do something with time penalties etc. I hope not...
PLuto said that Van Dalen told him that they will not apply any tactics.
Although 2nd would've been good for Meeke it's good to see no tactics. The less like WRC the better.Quote:

It would've been very interesting if Meeke hadn't suffered a puncture and we had a straight fight between the Fabias and the Pugs. But I guess that's rallying.
Roll on San Remo.
Vouilloz very lucky, got a puncture near stage end:

San Remo will be great rally..

at ss9 all(3!) evo X from RMC motorsport retired.Anybody knows the reason?
Now Sanremo, a bit easyier situation for Jan as he was there last year as zero car while Kris will be there for the first time. Than Scotland where I expect Kris to be faster. Juho Hänninen may play a crucial role there as he may be the only one able to steal points from Meeke.
Congratulations to Jan Kopecky and Skoda great job
Fantastic 2-3-4 for Kronos too(and unexpected after their unluck of yesterday) :bounce:
And Solowow increases lead over Basso in ERC :p :

+1. I think it's going to go down to the wire in Scotland. Kopecky has to be favourite for San Remo but as we've seen this weekend we can't take anything for granted (and with 9 stages it'll be hard to play catch-up for anybody).Quote:
