2. Jean-Claude Andruet as he won his first WRC event he took part in ;) , same we can say on Stig Blomqvist and maybe some other guys in 1973.Quote:

Just about everyone seems to have driven those Porsches (presumably Toivonen was in a Lancia on that rally - he had a split programme between Prodrive and Lancia that year didn't he?). Last event I saw them on Roger Clark and Saeed El Hajri were driving them!
I'm sure someone on the Tour de Course thread on the French Forum Auto
would have detailed results but I'm not sure any of the french posters there lokk at this thread (although at least one visits this forum).
I'm pretty sure the 1985 Tour de Corse stage times cannot be found online. If you want I can scan the stage results from Klein's yearbook (top 6 for all stages). Send me a PM if you're interested.
Interesting stuff :)Quote:

Jonkka has 4-6 March, but Tjeerd has 4-9 March.
Which is correct?
the one from Tjeerd is correct !

jorge
Thanks!
You are correct. Since 1973 was the first year of the WRC, many drivers won the first WRC event they took part in. I was fortunate enough to be in one of those winning cars.Quote:

I can add christian name of the first winner: Milan Tvrdon. I am pretty sure that word "Matador" was added much much later (21st century). It is brand of slovakian tyres in Czechoslovakia times known as "Barum". Nowadays Czechs have Barum and Slovaks have Matador. And one more: it was named Rallye Tatry (if you care about the original names).Quote:

Was going to say it's Andre Aerts but couldn't find a written record to check!
Alcide Paganelli co-driver would have been Nini Russo? (co-driving then before becoming team manager later).
Thanks, Jorge and FAL!

Another one from 1981:
At Marlboro rallye do Brasil, Datsun Violet of Mehta-Mehta and Datsun 160J of Recalde -del Buono, were entered by Ma.Ma.Sa, as in Argentina, or not?
Thanks!
And another one from 1981, this should be FAL's jurisdiction.Quote:

81 RAC shows entrant as Lasse Lampi himself. Surprised that Sutton should appear as any entrant in 1981. David Sutton Cars/Sutton Motorsport operated as "Rothmans Rally Team" for 1980 and 81. (2 cars on Swedish and 1000 Lakes - Vatanen and Arrikkala - and 3 cars on RAC - those 2 + Wilson). Lampi may have had an ex-Sutton hire car but I'm surprised it was entered by Sutton or serviced by Sutton. Maybe our recent new member Paul Batten knows?Quote:

Michele Cinotto and Emilio Radaelli, I'm not sure about the team.Quote:
