No, but they always told that if there was an S2000 for the DRM championship, they would let Kahle drive it.Quote:

Not about S2000 but there will be two Fabias in Andros Trophy this season driven by Jean Philippe Dayraut, Christophe Ferrier and Paul belmondo:

Who were the drivers?
I don't know, I do recognize Kopecký from photo. I don't know who is that one one co-driver's seat. Maybe Lindholm?
It's quite a rough track, gives me hope we might see the Fabias in Brazil and/or Safari.
Another video showing Panizzi in Fabia: http://titusvideo.free.fr/testing_skoda_s2000-v2r83.rar
Shows again how cute this little car is... :)
Škoda team is testing for Monte Carlo somewhere in Alpes (probably France).

Hänninen was driving??
There is a "new hole" in the front bumper ;)
Both were driving because they prepare for Monte. Anyway Hänninen has his own Škoda driving suit and that says much :)
Any news about Panizzi and if he gets a third car?
Awesome pics. The guys at Skoda are taking things very serious, so much testing! Love snowy asfalt, can't wait until Monte begins!!!
It is weird seeing traditional Monte testing photos yet it won't be in WRC, but somehow nice :)
Yes that, and how many Fabias will there be in total ?Quote:

According to an article on Autosport CZ, Panizzi would be candidate of the BFGoodrich drive for Monte-Carlo09
Wow, Tom discovered our pages, super :)
It is rather weird, I must say.Quote:

Thanks Mirek.
So, if it snows on Monte, Hanninen will win. If there is no snow, Kopecky will win, and if the conditions are mixed then it will be a 1-2 :)
Here is another video of Panizzi's test in November. Check out the hairpin at 1:40, who says S2000s can't slide? :D

wow got to say the new Livery looks Beautiful the nicest i've seen in a While i love it
thats one sexy car + livery! :D
Wow that snow test looks more like Sweden than Monte, loads of snow!
Got to say I'm sad WRC is dead but Skoda just made it easier to assimilate go Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can't wait!!
Monte-Carlo Test Skoda Fabia S2000 12/2008

This car looks and sounds so awesome, I'm amazed how fast they are driving over those asphalt sections with a small amount of ice/snow.Quote:

I honestly think most "normal" people who saw a clip of an S2000 wouldn't know it was going slower than a World Rally Car, maybe even the opposite.
Patrik Sandell on Skoda Fabia in the PWRC09 ??? Official ??
Am I the only person that thinks that Skoda is ugly and like a breeze block on wheels. I hope its got a good engine because the aero efficiency must be terrible at high speed!

The counter-force from aerodynamics depends on drag coefficient multiplied by front area, the rest is same for all cars. In rallying speeds are not that huge to produce big aerodynamic resistance. Usualy worse drag coefficient is used for better aerodynamic thrust.Quote:

Maybe opponents have less front area, that would make more difference. Fabia is higher but the cabin is also thinner. I can't say...
Aerodynamic resistance [N] = frontal area [m] * air density [kg/m3] * drag coefficient [1] * square of speed [m/s]
That was theory but the fact is that something ugly (I agree that especialy stock Fabia is ugly) needn't to be unefficient. It's not possible to judge by sight.
So when is the road Mk II vRS going to come out? Rumours are 2010 - which seems a long wait - Skoda are probably losing potential customers because of this, not me though - I have a vRS SE.
