Okay think I'm nearly there with my first skin. Quick question:
Do I delete the old car files and then add the new cars files to the car files directory, or is there another way to go about it?
Thanks!

Just paste the new files in, confirm the overwriting. Make a separate backup copy of originals, if you haven't instal CD.
If I wish to overwrite a different car (say a Mitsu alt rather than the makinen liveried one) I can just rename the new files so they overwrite the ones I wish to replace, correct?Quote:

Thanks for answering my naive questions, NOR :up:Quote:

If modified also 3D model, should be mita1N.c3d, mita1L.c3d, mita1S.c3d, mitc1.c3d (maybe mit.cin) as well.
I copied the files (name modified by me for mtsubishi alternate 1) and moved them to the cars file for the game with nor result. Tried it a second time using the names for the Lancer and the game wouldn't run. I uninstalled and now am about to reinstall.Quote:

You needn't reinstall all the game next time, just copy the original CARS files into the folder.
For textures you should set graphics advanced option CAR DETAILS to high.
I'm doing the reinstall because the game wouldn't play, and for some reason the textures were ot showing up.Quote:

Using win zip for exactly what? If you want to pack/unpack *.bfl file you should use Bfl works or similar tool.
