Special Stage Rally Video speaks sense:
There are a lot of people online complaining about the Super Special stage at Rally Islas Canarias, but without stages like this the sport would disappear into the background.
These stages aren't for the die hard fans and nobody is forcing you to watch here, the events expect you to be out in the other stages, they put on these Super Special stages to attract new fans, ones that don't know as much about the sport or that don't want/can't walk for miles to get to a viewing location out on the stages.
These stages have been around for years, they vary a lot depending on what the host area has to offer, but these 'micky mouse' stages are responsible for a lot of new fans of the sport, and without the fans the sponsors have no interest, the manufacturers have no reason to build cars, and the sport just disappears into the background.
You might not like these stages, the drivers may not think they are the best, but they play an important part in promoting the sport.

I agree rally need these type of stages but cmon, compare this to Japan or Acropolis stadium stages. This is really huge fail.Quote:
