It's better than her record on other types of tracks, granted, but to claim it's "awesome" or indicative of a likely challenge for pole is something of a stretch, even by your standards. I'd love to know how you can discern she's likely to be challenging for poles on the basis of the above. Top ten maybe, but top six is unlikely and I'd wager pole is vanishingly so.

Back marker on road courses, mid packer on ovals. Too bad the best girl in the seires got knocked out at the start. Simona is tops right now...the other girl, not so much.

Just heard Bourdais say He doesn't see how they are going to start the race, the weather system is huge......can/will they show it tommorrow?

Weird how different drivers have different opinions, as others seemed more upbeat. Bourdais does come across as something of a pessimist. And as I type, seems we're on course for a restart.

ETA - and from looking at the rain...hmm. Could get interesting, unless they just trundle round behind the safety car and then call it, as speculated.

Could you at least concede that IndyCar - now united and expanded with the talent of CART teams- has become infinitely more competitive than waaaayyyyy back in 2005 ? As proof I offer the 2010 Oval qualifying results, courtesy of Hornet: KAN 9th, IND 23rd, TXS 8th, IOW 9th, CHI 12th, KTY 17th, MOT 12th, HOM 12th (average Q abt. 13th, best 8th). It seems a top 12 would be an admirable goal.

Again, I ask you IN BASIS OF FACT on what do you predict DP will be on pole in any oval event ?
