Yes, he is. Besides other scientific work he teaches financial mathematics on the university and he is also well known person here as a founder of several foundations (anti-corruption, support of science etc.). You can read something about him on his English website: http://www.kareljanecek.com/en-CZ/
Come on guys…there’s info about Czech mathematicians, billionaires and philanthropists but not a line on Kopacek good looking codriver?
Thank God we got Ewrc! According to them, Miss Rendlova has been codriving since 2010 with some nice results on regional level, and this will be her second season with Kopacek on czech national series.
Best luck to Barbara. It would be great see her getting to WRC!
(It may sound a bit sexist, but if we take Kournikova role on WTA revamp I think we all agree that having more pretty and talented girls driving or codriving at WRC would be a nice progress).
Maybe You want to hear her as well? I know it's that strange language but still... ;)

Yep, she even ‘sings’ the notes in a nice way!
Seriously: FIA must get a proper program to promote women active participation on motorsport. We’ve been seeing a growing numbers of girls getting involved at rally or racing, mainly thanks to ASN’s friendly policies, but there’s no real help from FIA to make them get into top motorsport international series. It’s a shame.
The Ladies cup in ERC sadly wasn't exactly a success despite it having same promotion as ERC 2WD. It started quite well but the competition didn't grow with the time but faded.
What's so strange? Pretty similar in so many ways to other neighboring Slavic languages.. Hell, you guys are nice enough to use Roman letters..That's good! Much easier to see immediately that I don't know what the hell a word is than when I fight reading 'Rooskija' where i strugle with Cyrillic and then get the word, and THEN I see "No f**king idea"..
Hehe, actually we use quite a lot of German words (ja, wir waren ein Teil von Östereich für ziemlich lange Zeit) but after centuries of their use by us they don't resemble the original that much :p
Norwegian Petter Kristiansen will do czech championship with őrsak skoda s2000 this year. Pluss some erc's, barum is one of them.
very nice livery!
He had the same car last year.
And no, he doesn't have a chance against Kopecký.
Pontus Tidemand tested the R5 on Barum rally stage Žlutava (Halenkovice). Very spectacular, especially the infamous crest!

Entry list for Valašská rally, first event of Rally Sprint Series. As expected after last year's disaster without big names from Poland. On the other hand Černý or Kristiansen are nice surprise. 8 cars in Opel Adam cup.

The new organization brought also quite a lot different itinerary compared to the last year

I see Robert Adolf in the list - his first rally after his accident?
What accident do You mean? I thought he skipped last year due to problems with his knee (maybe also because of what happened to Petr Gross).
Ok thank you, forgot that Gross death wasn´t due to codriving with Adolf.

Matthias Kahle (Fabia R5) entered Rally Šumava :)
Saturday morning the Czech 2016 rally season finally starts with the first event of Rally Sprint Series - Valašská rally. The live results will be available since 9:09 a.m. here: http://rally-base.com/2016/rocksteel...ka-rally-2016/
Just checked provisional lists for Šumava/Vltava and I can see Jeppe being entered again :)
So far Černý won all three stages and is keeping a comfortable lead over his opponents.
EDIT: Due to the need to let ambulance go through SS3 to some injured child (not rally related) all next stages are to be postponed by 15 minutes. Meanwhile SS3 was restarted.
Final results
1. Černý (Fabia S2000) 42:39,5 (won 7 out of 8 stages)
2. Odložilík (Fiesta R5) +32,1 (5 sec penalty) (already upgraded to Evo but complained about lack of power)
3. Vlček (Fabia WRC) +1:01,8 (20 sec penalty) (complained about no testing)
4. Kristiansen (Fabia S2000) +1:31,1
5. Březík (Evo IX gr.N) +1:45,7
6. Pešl (Evo IX gr.N) +2:38,8
7. Adolf (Fabia S2000) +2:48,5
8. Trnovec (Fabia S2000) +3:22,1 (5 sec penalty)
9. Smékal (DS3 R3T) +3:35,1
10. Šikl (Evo IX gr.N) +3:44,1 (10 sec penalty)
Most notable retirement is Ševčík (Evo IX gr.N who retired after SS3 from 6th place only 6 seconds behind Březík).
With the new organization everything seems to work a lot better but let's wait with quick judgements.
Odložilík should bought a new Fiesta with the upgraded chassis too to go "fight" with Skodas
Great news, JNK studio started to put their event videos on youtube. Enjoy the one from Valašská rally, very spectacular!

And by the way probably an all time record of Czech rallies today. Out of 100 starters only 1 retired due to a crash
Only minutes left to enter Rally Šumava but new names keep coming into the provisional list. I can already say that the list will be awesome!
By the way there is already around 180 cars entered for both Šumava and Vltava and nearly 200 cars including Legends.
Probably the strongest entry list of Rally Šumava ever!
