Congrats to Nikara for a clever aproach at his wrc chance, at an 70% asphalt rally.Very good speed at gravel without testing, and sometimes good at asphalt when trouble free.Definetely the youngster Finn with biggest potential at moment.
Some disapointments.....Mikko a whole year at best team with best car(Loeb haters say that) and i can t see any tarmac progress, neither on gravel. When he had to show speed just didn t happened.I mean better speed than at Ford.
Atkinson... there is no comparison with Atkinson we knew with Subaru.
Prokop no progress too.
Ostberg very good results for a privateer, and progress through the year.If he continue like that at next year will have future, specially if he manage to be a works driver with testing.
Tanak,we saw speed at last rallies, but we saw also a lot of offs.Waiting for more at last rallies.
Neuville another dissapointment till now.Was waiting to see his asphalt(at least) speed at Spain but...Next year he has to make results if he wants to have future.Tanak was with very little practice,Neuville had plenty..
Solberg..maybe is time for retirement for the sympathetic Petter.Very little speed, definetely out of his limits when he tried to be up with other factory drivers.
Latvala...not so good as i was waiting.Definetely the speed is there, but is not always. We dont know how much % responsibility has Msport in terms of giving him a good setup,or equipped him with proper tyres etc. Wish Vw to support him much better.
Ogier...very logic that he won every rally he participate. Some think that is an miracle, but imho was normal with this competition he had and with unlimited practice/budget this year.Next year will be very different.
Roll on Monte can t wait!!
You forgot E. Lappi my friend! ;)Quote:

Yeah, bring it on 2013 and VW big entry. I know without Loeb it'll be very different for the challenge, but still I can't wait...
Well. It was proper rally to end the season.
What suprised me the most was the fact that Citroen made so many wrong weather related decisions in one weekend. It is more that they have made during the whole year!
By the time of position picking it was clear that it is going to rain during the night and rain during the next day as well. But they chose the worst positions... Today it was pretty celar that it is not going to rain much in the afternoon stages.. just some isolated very light rainshowers and they took very starnge combinations of tyres... Loeb was not far from loosing his win thanks to that decision.
I think their weather team must have been in Salou beaches enjoying the ccompany of some Ford girls :-P
Have to agree. E-Lappi has a lot to learn but he is quick without the mistakes that Nikara sometimes makesQuote:
