News from France

I have noticed that DS3 R3 is very fast and reliable on tarmac but needs some improvement on gravel. 3 of cars have retired here and in last WRC round Hunt had huge number of technical problems (problems with water crossings, turbo etc.). Hopefully they can get it sorted out and we have another good 2WD for all surfaces.

Abbring had this year barely problems i think with the DS3

Yep but looks like there's a risk Volkswagen to "steal" them from PSA :mad:

Even the "reference" Clio R3 isn't that reliable on gravel, and it doesn't even run a lot on it :mark:
I remind you also that in Italy Simone Campedelli won the 2WD once(on a gravel event of CIR me thinks) :p :

PS: and on previous french gravel events the DS3 had good results too(example terre de Langres with Abbring, Gilbert, Jeanney and Raoux) ;)

Unfortuneately here a great example of lack of contenders for Ogier: he won ahead of Vauthier and Pereira(gentlemen drivers)with 9 minutes gap(!!!!) :s

If they get faster by VW to the big league I've no problem with that. For Abbring there should be a new challenge for him because he's already at his top with the DS3 in France Terre Championship. Neuville sits good for IRC next year he still can learn there.

Abbring has still to run the DS3 internationnally(he failed at Ypres with an off while leading...a bit frustrating) ;)

Huge battle for 2nd place between Julien Maurin(Fiesta S2000)and Emmanuel Gascou(207 S2000)with gap of only +3" after SS12 rallye Terra Catalunya :bounce:
Bernard Munster will try to catch Kevin Abbring for 4th position(+15" gap) ;)

Yep but last year he won already in 2wd in Ypres, so he can live with that. And IRC run with the DS3 would be cool although no rivals for that and if there's somebody would do it like this year a Kangur and Raoux are no competition for Abbring.

What car for Melissa Debackere on this week-end's rallye du Ternois(northern France) :confused:
She's on entrylist with no car for he moment :mark:
