I didn't mean to come across as making a joke of the whole thing. I haven't seen a lot of coverage, just a few seconds here and there, and aren't aware as to the scale or the locations. Thought that I might be asking a question similar to the 'do you know the Queen' one so I chucked in a throwaway comment to lighten it a bit. Perhaps I was too glib but I did mean the original question genuinely as I know that there are Aussies on here from all over the place.

Ok, I am not an Aussie but I can feel the empathy from having disaster occurred there and could understand well all of you trying to say... ;)
Perhaps it is an advice according to general condition to use water for the accident if not fire extinguisher ...
After all, every accident is usually bitter but I try to understand that each occurrence possess wisdom.
I will most likely take a week or two off and head over for the Motogp. I am not sure if I will have a bike by then, and even if I do, I will trailer it over from Perth and ride it once I am there, (it would be too much for Helens little butt as a pillion all the way to Sydney from Perth). We must plan to meet up Roby, and perhaps we, (forum members) can meet up and have an ale or 2 together. As for the comments by Jan, I am sure we forgive you mate, after all, we are always joking about, so it would be easy for you to hear a little about it, make light of it, not knowing the full story on the extent of the situation. Remember, what is front page here, is a little snippet of news in many other countries. My heart goes out to all those effected, as I have seen all this first hand. I lived most of my life in the lower Blue Mountains, near Sydney and had to deal with bushfires every year. I was also posted to the Holsworthy Barracks, (ARMY) during the 90's, and helped fight the fires through the National parks, trying to save houses in the Sutherland area during my Christmas holidays. As for this thread being here, as well as one being in the Chit Chat forum, I think that it's fine. This is the Motorcycle community\fans discussing the situation. Most definately we should meet up!! It would be great to put faces to the names of people...
We should swap mobile numbers and email addresses so as when it gets a bit closer we can start to organise ourselves other wise it will be upon us and it will be too late.. Time has a habit of rushing by these days...

I hear that. 5 weeks ago I bought a new car, 4 weeks ago I was told that I was being made redundant and 2 weeks ago I got a new job. It's seems like such a long time ago that it was Christmas and I was thinking about getting a new car and soon enough it'll be Christmas again :eek:Quote:
