Ford Europe is reporting that some big announcements are coming soon..
They can produce 120 minutes of that mediocre garbage they call footage and still none will care. I cannot recall when was the last time i watched the official garbage footage they produce.
They cannot even put onboard cameras at proper places and they will increase footage time ? what for ?

So Erik Veiby confirms that Esapekka Lappi will drive a WRCar in 2017, official announcement coming soon. According to this newspaper it's Toyota (that hardly comes as a surprise). In addition, according to Veiby, it's "possible" that Lappi isn't driving a full season in 2017, and that ofcourse is quite obvious, if 1) Latvala is indeed coming to Toyota and 2) Hänninen drives in all rallies (as once again confirmed by Mäkinen in Finnish media yesterday).
I just wonder what was the thing having Suninen testing the Yaris WRC last week? Will Suninen (paid by Toyota) drive one more season in WRC2 and do some testing with Yaris WRC in 2017?
And Ostberg clear for 2017 as well according to this:

I hope the wrc+ coverage team fire the current commentators except Paul King.
it's just simply cancer to my heart to watch these guys spitting out nothing informative but 'depicting what they're seeing right now'.
What is your source? Do you mean this?

Ciesla talking to AS: 2017 calendar will keep 2016 rallys. Turkey will not be taken for security reasons and China is only an option for 2018. WRC promoter future aim: to get a 16 event calendar, 8 in Europe + 8 outside Europe. http://motor.as.com/motor/2016/11/21...59_085955.html
What would the new non-European rounds be? This year we were supposed to have 4. So based on that there would be Argentina, Australia, China and Mexico. So, if Argentina fixes the safety issues and China gets its act together, then what would the other 4 be? New Zealand, sth in Middle East, Safari and ...?
Earlier this year there were rumours about Canada and Japan I believe, maybe there is some truth in it after all.
there was FIA gala event in Australia today and this guy won Driver of the Year award, voted by the fans

you can find rest of the winners here http://www.wrc.com/en/wrc/news/novem...3--12-12-.html

yeah thats the most surprising one...i would understand if FIA had chosen it but it is chosen by fans.
Latvala and Ogier missing...hmmm wonder where they are :p

The fans probably interpreted the category as 'Best livery (in a rally crash)' for the Rally Finland incident.

I think John (Janvanvurpa) has pointed out several times that North America is quite hopeless, when it comes to rallies on the world level (roads, organising, etc). But I may remember incorrectly as it's been quite some time since someone said North America could host a WRC event.
They need to clarify what they mean by fans because if they consider fans people that use WRC.com and WRC+ platform to get their WRC fix then they should just call them "bottom feeding plebs with no standards"
and by the looks of that list this is what they are.
Oh dear. They're repeating all the mistakes ISC/ NorthOne made. 16 events is far too many, for a sport that is 'niche'. This isn't F1 which can afford to go everywhere. 10-12 properly promoted 'events' that make a noise when visiting each country; instead of the bland identikit events we currently get.
The organizer of RallyMobil (Chile´s National Championship) said that he was in Wales during Wales Rally GB talking the WRC promoters and that in a few years there will be a round of the WRC in Chile.
If I am not mistaken, the date was 2018.
Also, this same guy (Felipe Horta), was in Argentina during the WRC event talking about a WRC event in Chile.
Maybe that´s one of the non-European events planned...
A small tip for you guys needing hostage for Rally Sweden 2017. Just take a look at RS topic.
nothing.... they are bringing the MTV culture into the sport, the "everyone gets ice cream either they win or not" mentality.
They even gave an award for best livery in a video game to a person who does not belong in the sport.
The promoter with the blessing of the FIA is turning the most historic motorsport in the world into a plebian circus of nobodies, and i cannot blame them when you have "fans" that pay money to get WRC+ and they are ok with the current promotion of WRC, ok with the on board cameras, ok with the useless pro photographers who take pictures of lakes and flowers, ok with the spectators that take videos of hairpins, ok with those videos that chinless vagabond dog going around trash cans, ok with having to pay stupid ticket prices to put you into those hairpins, ok with people who consider bogey times a solution, and countless other things.
Its the new era ladies, you are not allowed to critisise anything because you might burst the pink bubble of political correctness.
It was not the Promoters idea for the awards, Rally Australia held the event for their event organizers ego!! Only reason how and why they got the final round :/
Sorry, my bad. Too fast in writing/thinking as always... Maybe hostage in Sweden with the cold winther and the polar bears, staying without accomodation sleeping in car ...? Sorry. ;)

Malcolm shut the M-Sport door from @JariMattiWRC, reports @ISUrheilu. Toyota remains as his sole chance. http://www.iltasanomat.fi/ralli/art-2000004876187.html … #WRC

...and Timo Jouhki quickly denied that report, claiming they're still in negotiations with Wilson as well. But also Jouhki admits, that nothing will happen before Ogier decides where he wants to go.
Jouhki of course he has to deny these rumors when his driver is at the research for seat.
It would be quite funny if Lappi would be Toyota´s nr.2 and Latvala Toyota´s nr.3. :D Well it would make sense to me. Lappi could evolve into top driver (and they are aiming at 2018) so being team manager I would put him into the WRC car for as many rounds as possible. Latvala will never change. For sure, he is kind guy, one of the fastest drivers, but he is...Latvala (which means very inconsistent because of his mind)
