Riccardo Scandola, brother of Umberto (the driver), and his sort of manager or somenthing similar, is publishing on facebook Fabia R5' pictures. No official statement by Skoda Italia but it seems the car is there. I don't think they will use it next week for Targa Florio btw, to less time for all the preparations etc
For sure this wonīt be the Skoda Italia livery. Look at Kreimīs car and you will exactly know how would it look like. Just Italian flag instead of german one.
Can't wait to see her in the road! Btw I just noticed that Scandola will be at rally sardinia wrc in june, but with the s2000. Hope he will be ready to drive the r5 instead...let'see
Targa Florio entry list :

Something average for this event, we have to bear in mind it is a very long trip to Sicily even for Italian drivers. Missing also Bernini -Hankook team with three Fiesta R5.
On the other hand some local guys, who can be pretty fast (Riolo and Runfola).
If I remember correctly, Pirelli tyres are not performing well in the heat - if there will be sunny and warm weather, of course...
I can not belive this is happening - yesterday on the 1.stage at Targa, Andreucci was already handicapped by gearbox defect. In the first morning service zone his mechanics succeeded to swap the gearbox in 16 minutes ! He was penalized with 10 seconds due to late exit.....
What is so unbelievable about that?
It's not that special. Sometimes it happens.
Sorry, I didn't mean it's good thing. No, it's for sure bad but it sometimes happen even in first stage.
Basso lost 20 minutes on stage 5...
Where can one find the results from Targa Florio?
Ucci leading and unfortunately Basso lost 20 minutes. A pity Scandola can't match the pace, can't wait to see him with the r5 in rally san marino. Also Perico and several other drivers had problems. Only 24 cars left after 5 SS!
Who is this Matteo Vintaloro ??? He seems pretty fast almost equal with Rossetti
Ucci won easy this time.
Targa Florio is a guarantee for Andreucci.
Good job by Chardonnet, he took the podium in a brand new rally against drivers who run it all the years.
I may sound annoying but I have to say I'm far from happy about safety in this rally (as well as S.Remo). Too many people in dangerous areas, even where there were clear signs that didn't allow people to stay there (marshalls, where are you?).
I can't understand why people and orginisers don't pay attention to their own lifes. In a normal world they would have been forbidden to orginise the rally again.
Happy day for Ucci-Ussi! After disastrous start yesterday finnaly no problems and quite an easy victory. If I understand correctly this is already 9!! victory for Paolo Andreucci on Sicily.
And congrats to Rossetti for taking victory in his class.
A bit suprisingly victory for Felice Re (DS3 WRC) on Rally ronde del Ticino, he beat fair & square Luca Pedersoli (C4 WRC) and even the ''mighty'' ex-world champion Didier Auriol (C4WRC)!!
Video?
Fontana?
Here is the participant list for Rally San Marino (CIR), starting this Saturday. It is a gravel event.

I think that crew Ucci/Ussi is scared like hell as Umy Scandola is going to drive new Fabia R5.
This will give a clear picture if P208 R5 is a ''history'' against new weapon from Czech Republik.
Let's wait and see. Until Poland the difference didn't look that big.
Scandola's PET: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTeevLBx2Kw
We should also consider that it is a new car for Scandola and I don't know if he has or how much he tested it before...
And he is on (presumably old) Michelin vs. Pirelli..
Results will be here: http://rally.ficr.it/default.asp?p=Y...TGluZ3VhPUlUQQ
What an unluck for Umberto Scandola and his first outing in the Fabia R5: crash on SS2 San Marino Rally this morning saturday :mark:
Crew OK ;) but car in the middle of the road in a difficult area... other crews are running in road mode now to reach SS3...
Umberto's Fabia is not much damaged, so at least this will not create any problem for the team.
Chardonnett is losing time due to technical troubles.
It's going to be another win for super Andreucci (I don't like to say "easy" win because it's never easy in rally).
A pity Scandola rolled this morning. I'm sure next year we will have fun watching those two fighting. Hope Andreucci will resist a couple of more years. :)

Accident of Scandola: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wWyjfIGLPM
Looks like the back kicked up on the jump and flipped the car. Can anyone tell what Guido D'amore was saying after the crash?
Thanks. Look forward to his next event.
I take the opportunity to praise Guido D'Amore's work.
Scandola's pace notes are not that easy to say. They are very very detailed and complex. Even if you don't understand italian it's clear that you need perfect rythm and concentration. If he says a word one second later Scandola is off the road. And he never fails!
At the same time it is unbeliavable how Scandola is able understand all those information when he drives. The fun fact is that when you see his onboard in a first pass of a stage he makes corrections for the second pass as well.
No other drivers in Italy have such a pace note system in my opinion.
I couldn't belive my eyes when I saw the entry list for Rally del Casentino (I.R.C):

17 WRC !! Special guests : Bertelli and Sarrazin.
Where is the recesion in Itally??
