Hi guys:
I hope you don’t mind this long post, and i’m sorry my bad English, but i’ll try to explain my personal point of view about the serious situation about the stones on the rally road.
As you know i'm Mexican and i am rally fan since 2004, I know the organizators are working hard to try to avoid this kind of bad actions, but i can’t deny it's very clear to me some people is trying to stop the Mexican rally, (and they got it on stage SS9), it breaks my heart when organizators said that they don’t have a specific reason of why people do this criminal acts.

I think is less probable the stone attacks are simple vandalism acts made by drunk people because this kind of people don’t know the rally road, drunk people just couldn’t choise the right spot in the rally road to attack the competitors and remain unpunished for so long time, along the years I've seen a lot incidents with drunk people on sunday and saturday, but it's very strange to see drunk people incidents on friday.
I think is more probable the stone attacks were made by People that live inside the rally road and they are no happy with the rally, the reason could be incidents during the reece days before the rally, The last wensday I saw damages on the hungarian reece car, (they used a white mitsubishi evo X), I saw damages on its front in the second reece pass, the Friday some spectators told me that they saw a red mitsubishi evo race car with the windows damaged, even they thought that the car rolled over, but they got surprised when they saw with more detail the car, spectators notice the rally car had stone impacts in all around of its car body, it could be impossible that damage were made by only one person, it’s hard to believe that was only a vandalims act, it seems a revenge act to me.
Incidents in the reece are not strange, This year I spoke with a unhappy person in SS9 that told me “in the last year reece one competitor crash my car in the front and he refused to pay my car damages even when he was driving so fast”, he couldn’t told me who driver was because the unhappy person doesn’t know nothing about rally, This year, at the start of SS9 a Truck Driver told us that he was so close to crash with several reece cars.
I’m not trying to justify stone attacks, but people that live in rally roads are very kind, they are so nice and they are hard workers, they even offer help when you ask for it, but even the nicest person get anger when someone damages his belongings and nobody pay for it, that is not fair.
Some how, some way I think rally organizators should avoid this kind of reece incidents, It’s not a secret rally drivers don’t respect speed limit during the reece and that’s a bad habit that is difficult to eliminate, may be could be better if rally organizators close the road during the reece too.
Other possibility is that the stone attacks were made for unhappy spectators, because this year the Fia regulations for spectators were applied with no sense specialy on SS9.
