Can’t imagine how it will look for second pass

Neuville parked. On the left side the rock (or whatever it is) he hit.
neuville will never learn, and will never be champion. he just doesn't have the self-control to focus on the championship and keep it on the road.
As it stands after SS11, championship points:
* 1. 69 Evans
* 2. 65 Tänak
* 3. 64 Ogier
* 4. 58 Rovanperä
* 5. 53 Neuville
Thsese last 3 seasons can be summed up to Otts car exploding in p1 and Neuville bining it in p1
Big chance for the win for Evans now and no team pressure as he's not scoring Manu points.
If I need to predict at the moment, I would put Rovanperä on 4th.
edit: well, if 2nd pass is really dirty, then it's more for Ogier. But Ogier is a bit out of fightingmood at the moment and/or having some issues with car what they needed to fix before first stage. Not sure they fully sorted it out.
What a shame for Neuville. He looked to have the rally pretty much under control. Would have been a very memorable win under the circumstances. Alas, fate had other plans...

Tänak 5.2sec lost in 1st split.
Neuville has no problem when charging for 2 days if he has to recover, but when it comes to keep first position and controlling, it seems the most difficult thing for him...
Ciamin just passed Gryazin and now 2nd overall.
C3 and polo ahead of skoda armada.
Normally I don’t care who wins so long as it’s a good race, but I was hoping a Hyundai (Neuville as it looked) would win this one for obvious reasons.
Big shame.
Croatia appears to be another long rally (1650.68km total) to obtain the stage distance (301.26km) which 18 percent of the distance driven.
From what i've seen Neuvilles out looks like a rather unfortunate incident with a concrete pipe hide at the edge of the road. Is there any footage?

Regardless of your favourite team, I think an awful lot of people would have enjoyed a @thierryneuville win this weekend carrying that livery. :( #ForCraig

hierry Neuville has explained the crash that caused his retirement from Croatia Rally on SS11.
Neuville had been leading the event, going onto that stage with a 10.8 second advantage over Toyota’s Elfyn Evans.
But midway through the test he lost the back end of his Hyundai i20 N Rally1 going into a right-handed corner and the right-rear hit some concrete, immediately forcing him to retire from the rally.
And when speaking to DirtFish about the incident, Neuville confirmed that he locked the wheels up under braking.
“To be honest, I struggle a bit to explain it now,” Neuville said.
“I have to check on the video, but especially on the data. I think I just lock up the wheels under braking and had I got in the dust and that’s about it.”
But while it appeared to be an unforced error from Neuville, he doesn’t think it was a case of him driving the car too fast into the corner.
“I don’t know. I didn’t have the feeling like I was driving too fast.
“I think I just probably got into the dirt on the braking, and then with the hard tire on the front it, locked the wheel and I just went a bit straight. And once in the dust it’s hard to keep it on the road.
“So it’s a shame. We had a mission this weekend and we were on it, but obviously.. Yeah, just not confident all the time and on a rally like this, when you are not 100% confident, the smallest mistakes can [catch you out].”

If you are off the road because of driving mistake and hit something few meters from the road, it's not too much related to being unlucky anymore. If you come out without impact, you can call it luck.
edit: one clear metric - even Neuville himself is not calling it being unlucky.
EP got luvky there. Zero damage
Evans lead got reduced from 22.6 to 15.9 with one stage. Toyota/Evans seems to be better with clean road.
Big chunk of Evans lead taken by Tanak... game on !
There was a rolled car on a junction?
