Ogier is doing the rallies he does now for enjoyment. The only record he was interested in is wins on his home event of Monte Carlo. If he was really after records then he wouldve stayed full-time to take all of Loeb's.

If to take Loubet 2nd place with nominal time into account, then all Rally1 drivers got at least one top2 stage time.
Ogier - win
Evans - 2nd
Rovanpera - win
Tanak - 2nd
Neuville - win
Lappi - win
Katsuta - win
Sordo - 2nd
Loubet - 2nd (Nominal time), otherwise 3rd

As always, we were in the game, we could have hoped for a good result this weekend.
But lack of chance. Once again.
A blocked gearbox, a 3-minute penalty and then the broken steering...
The frustration is huge for me tonight, but also for all the people behind me...
Tanak:
We had three stages today and each was run twice. One of them was a massive 50km long. Unfortunately, we struggled a lot during the both loop.
On today's first loop, we weren't able to push to the maximum as the road conditions were difficult and I couldn’t find the right feeling with the car.
On the second loop of the stages, we immediately got some alarms on the dashboard when we started to SS5. We had to face different electrical issues that caused the loss of power in the engine and we also lost the hybrid system.
On today's last stage SS7, the water pump stopped working due to these electrical troubles and we were really considering to park up the car, but luckily it came back to alive and we were able to finish the day.
Despite the issues we had to face today, we will keep going and we know that Sardinia is full of surprises, so nothing is over before the rally is finished. We go and fight for what’s possible! 💪
World Rally Championship drivers have called for a change to the regulation which forces competitors to select tires the night before they’re used.

Pierre-Louis Loubet will not restart today.
A statement from his M-Sport Ford team said: Whilst repairing Pierre-Louis’ car after the accident on SS7 yesterday, more damage was discovered than anticipated. The team has therefore made the difficult decision to retire the car from the event.

Oh dear Taka
Tänak has no pace whatsoever this weekend.
They are going backwards not onwards with the development atm
Stupid mistake by Taka.. too fast into the water and damaged the front
Rovanperä start showing his actual pace from more equal road position. How long cap to the podium or to the lead is "safe"?
edit: not the case at the moment, Neuville faster on (some) splits.
Splits not working on wrc.com
And Ogier takes the lead again
Loubet not restarting is weird
Tha way Rossel always talks sounds he is crying or about to cry
Is Taka moving or already on next stage?
