Agreed, However, while I'm usually several KM's from the end of the stage, I've seen more and more people around "my" spot as the of the stage gets more and more "arena"-like.
Seemingly not, at least it hasn't before, and isn't this year.
I'll admit, I don't hope for -8 during Thursday and Friday night... I plan to sleep outside in a hammock, so I would prefer the temperatures to be closer to 0 :D
Not in Belgium!
They told me:
I’m really, really sorry for this but we seems to have messed this up a little bit.
I have two solutions to offer by now:
Either we send the package to where you are staying in Sweden
or I’ll add you to the list which allow you to pick them up at any of the Rally-sites from our staff.
What would you prefer?

Now the forecasts are again giving more plus degrees, for all of Thursday and for the warmest points of Friday and Saturday.
Disclaimer: I'm not afraid they will cancel the rally. It will just affect the conditions. If it's like this then we'll see more gravel on the second runs.
We didn't receive the rally guide either, but called two days ago and apparently it will arrive now on Monday due to an error. Very apologetic, let's see if it arrives.
Does anyone know if the lake near Colin's Crest will be open for cars this year?
Well, beacuse of the thick snowlayer, cold can`t reach the ice/water and it`s quite thin this season. i`d guess no.
About to change for sure.

yup, ice layer is very thin this year. Thursday's gonna be brutal, warmest day of the week. But monday-tuesday looks to be chilly. Maybe watering the roads is an option like in 2016?
Oh dear, doesn't look good in those pics at all
Wednesday and Thursday will be brutal, especially if there's nothing (i.e. ice) covering the road surface at that point. The minus degrees on Thursday evening and the following night could save a lot though. Fingers crossed.
Minusdegrees during all nights though. Will be icy gravel. Let´s see how much snow on snowbanks that will last throughout the weekend...
Wow that Rammen stage looks pretty horrible already. How does it compare to 2016? When many stages were cancelled?
I just hope that they can run the rally, no matter if it is bit slushy. Just a shame since it looked so nice few weeks ago :(
It looks like there was a little bit more snow in 2016! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL1i1XJzNUU)
It's quite a lot more in the terrain this year, reason Lesjöfors was cancelled in 2016 was that the 10-15cm deep ruts in the gravel froze before they had time to scrape it, I'm sure there would have been no problem to run all stages twice in the end.
I checked the weather in 2016 and it was 10-15 days of around +5 then so i think it should be fine this year.

Picture from SS10/13 Hagfors yesterday...

I am not sure this is correct image... I have followed around 10 stations in the region all night, it was basically snowing everywhere overnight except Karsltad, some light rain near noon for some stages... Conditions in Sunday and Friday stages should look very good right now, a bit less good on Saturday stages, but this image does not look right.. And the image was posted.. before it was actually taken?
These stage image's are all posted on ; https://www.facebook.com/groups/Enth...ofRallySweden/
There are also pictures from Hagfors and unfortunately they look similar
Well they cant leave it unploughed, locals obviously want to use the roads
Also Ogier would be complaining too much, and nobody wants that.
Or just use a roller to pack it hard, hopefully they will with the wet snow tomorrow night
Thanks for all the help regarding staying warm-ish on pages 19/20, much appreciated!
If it stays at +5 staying warm will be no problem, you will probably be too hot walking into the stages most of the time ;)
Looks like it might be like it was in 2014

Weather will not be optimal, but no fear of cancellation?
Everybody needs to calm down, during the nights the forecast says -2 to -6 or even colder, and with rain now there will be a ok ice-base.
Only thing that is sad and a bit worrying is the lack of snowbanks and/or thin icelayer for 2nd runs🥺
Every year same damn shit. A week before or after the rally the conditions are perfect but at rally weekend it turns to mess.
