Nueville says he's at the limit... cant match Ogier/Meeke.
So, Meeke 10 sec in front of Ogier, with Neuville in a good third overall.
Meeke faster than Seb, again.

I'm a Meeke fan, but I hope for good attack from Nueville tomorrow. He have pace and a position to that.
Meeke faster today,if not slowing at Otts off, he would take all stage wins.
nice clip of him

shame about Tänak's off, i really think he could have fight for 3rd here....Breen very good and finally a decent time from Paddon on the final stage but overall im disappointed with him today.
The first part of this second stage must be very wide and open, otherwise I can't explain how Kopecký with no power steering can be second fastest there (he looses plenty of time on the rest of the stage).
yeap
David Serieys, Tour de Corse 2017 Director:
“The Plage de Liamone will be the major attraction at the start of the stage. Straight away the drivers will have to tackle a very quick uphill section on the way to Casaligione with its very tight hairpin, which always poses a problem. Then comes a change of pace and profile with a wide, twisty road leading to Pont de Furcina and then a string of quick corners and an uphill climb along a narrow winding bumpy road to the Calcatoggio hairpin. The road is very narrow and twisty so getting the apexes right will be a difficult task.*The crews will cross the villages of Sant’ Andrea d’Orcino and Cannelle along a road that poses another technical challenge and brings them to the Sari d’Orcino hairpin.*The next section is much wider and climbs uphill to Col de Sarzoggio followed by a pretty tricky downhill run to Sarrola-Carcopino, the end of the second stage.”
*Patrick Bernardini, Corsican driver two-time French Rally Champion:
“This special stage, with a distance of thirty kilometers, is less mythical than others but still displays some famous places. This includes particularly the notorious hairpins from Casaglione. At the beginning of the stage, the road is fast and wide, since it has been renovated for the local people. Before, the recces were quite complicated due the narrow roadway. After that, drivers reach a crossroad, the Furcina bridge and then they face the Calcatoggio hairpin. By the way, drivers will have to pay attention in the uphill climb, where there are always some cows on the road. On this part, the road is winding and narrow; it will be hard to cut the corners. Finally, the drivers can count on a fast and bumpy roadway with a lot of changes of pace. Overall, this stage is ideal to run some tests. There was an era where I used to go on these roads to make adjustments on my car. The local people know it by heart – I’ve often taken it to go to Sarrola – but it’s not very well-known by the public.
It’s a nice little stage, which follows a big one (SS1-3). In the nineties, the special stage was almost forty-one-kilometer long and we used to take it into the opposite direction. In 1996, I specifically remember starting at the third place behind Philippe Bugalski and François Delecour. I finished a few meters behind them, taking 1’59’’ over Bugalski and 1’48’’ over Delecour. I was on fire!”
I'm quite busy today and can't follow the rally properly. Anyway I'm happy that a busy day is happening this weekend since this rally for the third time in a row (out of three) seems quite boring.
Yes, that hairpin looks absolutly fine for Kopecky. Looks like at the begining of stage he has enough muscle power... and tired up to the stage
Anyone know what the issues were for Loubet this morning? Sounded like he had a developing problem at the end of SS1 and then obviously quite big time loss on SS2. I genuinely think he'd have been on for his best result this weekend. Seems to have half decent pace.
Anyone know what happened to Bouffier?

"We just finished this first day. We took it as an learning chance !
We improved stage after stage, our times are not so bad, in the WRC2 Top3.
Unfortunately, this brake trouble in the 2nd stage has stolen us the third place tonight.
But the best is still coming and we will be back stronger.
I really enjoyed the car, it makes me so happy.
Now, we are on our way to Bastia for the service. Look forward to tomorrow. "
Yes, you are right. Sorry, my mistake for not checking about the Skoda. And regarding competitiveness of Hyundai R5, just because there have been no good results with that car (even with few drivers using it). Paddon showed good speed in San Remo but only won 1 stage vs the Peugeot 28, which has consesnsus not to be the best car. I know Paddon does not have same knowledge as Andreucci, etc.
Can you say Hyndai is on top of R5? same level as Skoda or Fiesta?

So frustrating for @OttTanak. Just passed his car looking almost damage free, on the road and being driven back to Bastia.
Märtin is Tanaks mentor, haven't seen any footage but I think that Ott had same kind of crash today like his mentor :p

I remember that one well. He did a pretty good job of remodeling the Focus, unlike Ott thankfully!

The most critical issues seem to be solved (overheating, pop-of valve position) but it's still relatively less reliable car although a lot of those issues are probably caused by the simple fact that unlike Škoda or M-Sport PSA sells its cars also as kits. For sure not all cars are assembles on factory level. PSA cars generally seem to be quite good on twisty and smooth asphalt stages but they don't seem to be so competitive on gravel or on rough and very fast asphalts.
Not a single scratch on the car !!! Damn

Meeke and Keferbve looks less understeering car than all others "no handbrake" cars
Guys, how to renew the WRC+ subscription with the free code..? I'm always stuck in the payment methods because I don't have credit cards nor PayPal..

nice comparison vid from SS1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdZaUW9HHKc Sordo :hot:
and a close one from Shakedown - must have been nice live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AFkFFdfj-A
p.s. this kid found the perfect spot of the whole rally... shame the clip is poor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGFkPzXSvWo
fresh comments from Ott to estonian media. "There was a long corner and in the end there was much more gravel than he expected and the car just slid off. He says he is massively disappointed because he put a lot of energy and effort to finally have a good result on this rally. Everything was going really well so far."
Anyone on the SP today or tomorrow? or Sunday;)
Nice to see that competition is back to normal this year with Ogier in an average car. Party is over.
