It looks like I might be the unluckiest driver in the championship at the moment. From a driver point of view I can't see any way of avoiding what happened to us today. We were in first gear going into a water splash. There was a stone in the water and it ripped the wheel off.
"We have to keep working and try to do as well as we can. Of course it's really difficult after what has happened, but sometimes life is hard. You just have to pull yourself together and keep pushing. It's tough sometimes, but you have to do it. You have to do it for yourself, for your team, and for everyone at home who is supporting you all the way."

Don't think anyone thought Citroen would be 1-2 at any time this season - still a long way to go and we have to see if the DS3 really has been improved. I'd say the SD and SSS performances from Kris seem to indicate the package has got quicker
Protasov penalised 3.10 for yesterdays wheel episode?
Confirmation today - Ogier's car had a problem with the fuel supply to a cylinder, resulting in a loss of performance.
Good luck Kris !

First stage is running.
Couldn't be a better start position for Kris and he'll still have a good spot in Portugal.
Meek very slow on first split! :(
I guess Prokop hit trouble and held Kris up
spin for meek
Are you sure? Maybe slowed down by Propok?
Fingers crossed no damage!! If that's true.
Prokop finished the stage, so it must be something else.
3 - Meeke Kris / Nagle Paul): had a spin in the early section of the stage

Here's Meekes comments:
Meeke 17:52.1 "Very dusty. I got mixed up with my braking, we just span onto some grass. Had to stop and reverse.
Still in the lead ;-)
Long way to go and just a spin or puncture can change everything... I wouldn't bet on anyone to win the way things have been going.
Ostberg with a bad dose of the lurgy.
3 min start gaps on SS8.
For SS8 there will be three minute gaps between cars, allowing for better visibility with dust causing problems this morning.

Sat 09:46 - SS8: Mud report
WRC TV crews report a 500 metre section of deep mud at the 3km point.
SS8 - no 1st split for Ogier ?
OK, 3rd split now in ...
Tanak seems to be cruising through, Evans also very steady ...
JML also slower than usual.
Meeke already down on Ostberg.
^^ Yeah, saw that, slow first split.
JML is oddly subdued, is he waiting problems for others or having one himself?
Look SOrdo flying, great!
And another slow start from Meeke, he cannot afford to loose 20 secs every stage!
Sordo is flying!!!
Will he take thrid from JML? Great they don't have splits in the car!
